BFF's Michelle Williams and Busy Philipps held hands together on the red carpet this evening at the 89th Annual Academy Awards at the Hollywood & Highland Center in LA.

Michelle Williams wore a custom LOUIS VUITTON two-tone gown which featured a black velvet tie neck top with a plunging neckline and a cream sequin layered floor length skirt. This is just okay for me, it doesn't excite. Minimal make-up and her signature pixie finished up her look. 

Busy Philipps wore a ELIZABETH KENNEDY FALL 2016 dark green strapless matte velvet gown with sheer illusion dot embroidery. I love everything about Busy's look, simple but still sexy. One of her best. LORRAINE SCHWARTZ jewelry, a ROGER VIVER clutch, smoke eyes and side parted straight tresses finished up her look.

Following her attendance at the Spirit awards, Janelle Monae hit the red carpet at the 89th Annual Academy Awards at the Hollywood & Highland Center in LA.

The singer/actress wore a ELIE SAAB FALL 2016 COUTURE sleeveless black heavily embellished semi-sheer gown with a high neckline, a velvet belted waist and a dramatic cape waist. Janelle has been delivering consistently this awards season but I think this is one of her best. 

I love the sex, edgy drama she is giving here. One of my favorites. Dressed up in $1.5M worth of FOREVERMARK jewelry, she finished up her look with a JIMMY CHOO clutch and BRIAN ATWOOD sandals.

On hand as a performer, Cynthia Erivo hit the red carpet this evening(February 26th) at the 89th Annual Academy Awards at the Hollywood & Highland Center in LA. 

This is Cynthia's first Oscar appearance so she made an entrance wearing a PAOLO SEBASTIAN FALL 2016 COUTURE black floral embroidered gown with a black lace panel neckline.

While the women undoubtedly always gets the most attention on the carpet, the men tend to make some noise. Check out some of the men's looks from the 2016 Academy Awards which was held at the Hollywood & Highland Center in LA. You can see all of the looks HERE.

Common was on hand as a presenter and he kept things interesting wearing white DOLCE & GABBANA three-piece tuxedo styled with a black bow tie, a white shirt and black shiny shoes. I am not too crazy about the look of the pants but I appreciate the unexpected white.

Jared Leto never fails to disappoint as he looked fresh in a custom GUCCI black notch lapel two button Heritage evening suit with red contrast piping, a black evening shirt, red silk flower & black velvet evening slippers with a crystal snake detail.

Eddie Redmayne doesn't use a stylist but instead he says he just wears whatever the designers give him. He stepped out in a black ALEXANDER MCQUEEN black suit which featured a velvet satin lapel jacket. A simple but classic look.

Emily Blunt worked her baby bump in a pink embellished PRADA gown with an empire waistline. For her beauty look, she went with side parted waves and a smokey eye. Silver accessories completed her look. This gown feels familiar but she looks lovely.

Kate Winslet ditched her signature fitted dresses for a custom RALPH LAUREN black strapless shiny silk gown. While this doesn't excite, I am glad that she stepped a little out of her comfort zone. 

Tina Fey wore simple but beautiful purple ATELIER VERSACE strapless which she dressed up with a purple stone statement necklace.
