Fashion On Repeat: Tilda Swinton Re-wears a Haider Ackermann Fall 2016 Look at the 2020 BFI Fellowship Dinner

I stan a fashion risk taker and someone who is not afraid to re-wear a look on or off the red carpet. Yesterday evening(March 2nd) Tilda Swinton hit the carpet in London for the 2020 BFI Chairman's dinner awarding her a 'BFI Fellowship' at the Rosewood London.

Tilda re-wore a HAIDER ACKERMANn FALL 2016 beaded top, black & orange side stripe trousers and black & fuchsia suede toe cap ankle booties which she wore first at the 2016 CFDA's(see below image). 

The only different between now and the first time that she wore this look, is her hair color and style. Either way, I still love this look on her which was topped off with a fuchsia lip color. What do you think of Tilda's repeat fashion look?

Solange in Off-White at the 13th CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards

Following her big SNL performance, Solange Knowles attended the 13th Annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards at Spring Studios last night(November 7th) in New York. 

The singer stood out in a silver metallic OFF-WHITE FALL 2016 suit which featured a asymmetrical blazer and the matching voluminous ankle length trousers. Pulling off a metallic suit like this can be difficult especially with the shape of the pants.

Whether it is a hit or miss, Solo always takes fashion risks which is why her style stands out. Minimal make-up, a sleek hairstyle with hair clips, a metallic clutch and ankle strap sandals finished up her look. Did Solo sell this metallic look to you?

Kristen Stewart & St. Vincent at the the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Show & Tea

Following the ELLE WIH awards, Kristen Stewart and girlfriend St. Vincent attended the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Show and Tea which was presented by kate spade new york yesterday(October 24th) at Chateau Marmont in LA on yesterday(October 26th). 

Kristen Stewart worked a cool, casual look which featured a black blazer and 3.1 PHILLIP LIM FALL 2016 houndstooth joggers with contrasting black side panels and hem. She finished up her look with a pulled back hairstyle, dark sunglasses and black patent loafers. 

St. Vincent wore a long sleeve CHANEL FALL 2016 red, black & white check print crop top paired with black wide leg trousers. I would take out the black choker but other than that, I liked her look. Dark sunglasses and a chain strap black bag finished up her look.

Michelle Monaghan in Kate Spade New York & Re/Done at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Show & Tea

Following her appearance at the ELLE WIH awards, Michelle Monaghan attended the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Show and Tea which was presented by kate spade new york yesterday(October 26th) at Chateau Marmont in LA. 

She wore RE/DONE frayed hem ankle length jeans with pieces from KATE SPADE NEW YORK which featured the RESORT 2016 black 'Madison Avenue Valerie' feather hem blazer, the FALL 2016 cream 'Bow Tie' blouse & the ‘Montana’ slingback heel and the 'Dress The Part Glitter Mask' clutch.

I really like this ensemble on Michelle and given her last few outings, she redeemed herself. It makes a chic fashion statement which worked for the event. Minimal make-up and center part waves finished up her look.

2016 CFDA Fashion Awards Wrap-up

Naomi Campbell wore a simple BRANDON MAXWELL FALL 2016 black halter floor length dress with cut-out sides. I just love how she is selling this simplistic look in a elegant, sultry way. A side swept long braid with bangs and diamond bracelets topped off her look. 

Karlie Kloss wore a white studded ROSIE ASSOULIN dress with a front & black bow & cut-out detail, a peplum detail and a flare skirt. Love the dress but not those pink sequin pumps. 

Sarah Paulson gave us the first unreleased look from the ALTUZARRA RESORT 2017 collection. Her sleeveless red & black beaded dress is cute but once again she wore her favorite black pumps which doesn't work here.

Today we have a fashion battle between the 'Queen of Music' and Dior's newest face, so let the fashion war begin. 

Beyonce received the 'Fashion Icon' award yesterday evening at the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. For the occasion, she wore a black & silver beaded GIVENCHY FALL 2015 COUTURE two-piece suit which she styled with her signature black wide brim hat, a black ruffled high neck lace top adorn with a diamond choker and black peep-toe platform pumps. LORRAINE SCHWARTZ jewelry topped off her look. 

Bella Hadid wore the suit first just last month(May 17th) at De Grisogono Cannes party. Bella styled her suit with a silver beaded fringe top which was from the same collection, a silver metal necklace and GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI sandals.

I don't know about you but I have come to terms that Lean Dunham marches to the beat of her own style whether we like it or not. She is having fun with fashion which is what matters. Yesterday she attended the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. 

For the occasion, she wore a custom CREATURES OF THE WIND PRE-FALL 2016 two-tone dress which featured a white long sleeve top and a strapless black flare lace dress.

Yesterday evening Julianne Hough and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore MICHAEL KORS dresses to the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards which was held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. 

Julianne Hough wore a FALL 2016 long sleeve silver metallic beaded dress with nude underlining. The STUART WEITMAN 'Nudist' continues to be the celeb go to shoe choice but I wish on this occasion she went with a sexy but simple strappy style with this dress. Also I can't say that I favor the make-up either. 

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was a regal beauty wearing a beaded floral length slip dress with spaghetti straps, a short v-neckline and a open-back. Even though I have seen her in something similar before and the dress sits a tad low on the chest, she was still an elegant beauty for the occasion. Straight off-the-shoulder tresses and a pink lip topped off her look.

Whether hit or miss, what I love about Tracee Ellis Ross style, is that she has fun with it and she is not afraid of taking risk. She was on hand for the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. 

She posed on the carpet rocking one of her got to brand's, SUNO. Her FALL 2016 sleeveless beaded metallic dress featured a ruffled panel which is not visible and a back split. Highlighting the red hue on her dress, she wore red suede sandals and added a red pout to her beauty look.

 It could be the way that she is posing but the creases are a tad distracting. I can't say that I love this dress but as always kudos for her always taking a risk. A braided ponytail and a JIMMY CHOO clutch finished up her look. Are you feeling Tracee's metallic look?

Michelle Monaghan was serving up a little leg action yesterday evening at the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. 

She hit the pink carpet in a OFF-WHITE FALL 2016 strapless mixed media dress which featured a beige frayed asymmetrical panel, a silver metallic pleated panel and a split detail.

Even though in the pictures, she see how hard she was working that split, I like the unexpected idea of this dress. Also the metallic panel makes a subtle chic statement without coming off as harsh or cheap. A metallic clutch, SCHUTZ sandals, MONIQUE PEAN jewelry and center part waves completed her look.

I think Gabrielle Union has potential when it comes to her style game but sometimes it doesn't excite. Yesterday evening she attended the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. 

She hit the pink carpet in a LELA ROSE FALL 2016 semi-sheer black & white silk-chiffon stripe layered v-neck evening dress. I like this dress but I can't say that I am sold on the fit of the top or shape of the skirt on her.

Also I think she definitely needed a colored lip and a hairstyle similar to the model's to compliment the dress. A black clutch and a silver bracelet completed her look. Does Gabrielle's look work for you?

Turning to her friend & go to designer, she was head to toe in a HAIDER ACKERMANn FALL 2016 ensemble which featured a beaded long sleeve top, black & orange side stripe trousers and black & fuchsia suede toe cap ankle booties.  

Love this look and of course she wells it well but I do find it to be a bit heavy for the season. A bold colored lip and her signature short hair do finished up her great look.

Jessica Chastain wore a FALL 2016 black, silver and gold strapless falling leaf high-low organza lurex gown which she styled with black strappy PAUL ANDREW sandals. Beauty wise, she went with a slick side parted wavy up-do and a smokey eye offset with a shiny. 

Jennifer Hudson wore a RESORT 2016 strapless onyx and crimson crepe asymmetric gown with sculptural inserts. Love the dress and the matching red lip but I don't like her eye make-up nor her shoe choice. A strappy sandal would have been ideal.

Alicia Silverstone & Selma Blair in Christian Siriano at the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards

Alicia Silverstone & Selma Blair stepped out in CHRISTIAN SIRIANO FALL 2016 this evening at the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. 

Alicia Silverstone wore a red silk evening dress with a short v-neckline, twisted straps, a train detail and a high split. She also wore the red double braided straps mule sandals from the runway but I wish she wore something on the strappy side. A gold clutch, a matching red lip and straight off-the-shoulder tresses completed her look. 

Selma Blair wore a black satin suit which featured a one long sleeve asymmetrical jacket with the matching flair leg trousers. I actually love this but too bad Selma didn't have the height needed to pull it off. Also the fit is not that good. This suit looked so much better on the runway.

Laverne Cox worked the red carpet this evening at the 2016 CFDA Fashion Awards which was held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. 

Turning to one of her favorite designers, she wore a custom MARC BOUWER nude v-neck dress with dramatic long cape sleeves, a center front split and a cut-out sides. I like Laverne and she knows how to deliver great red carpet looks but this is just not her color.
