Katharine McPhee took a night of from Broadway to attend the 2018 MET Gala, Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York this evening(May 7th).

Turning to GEORGES CHAKRA, she wore a SPRING 2017 COUTURE light blue sleeveless beaded semi-sheer gown with a skirted waist. Love this gown on Katharine and the delicate color. 

The jewelry which featured vintage and DYLAN LEX pieces, helped to incorporate the theme in her look which I like. Smokey eyes and JIMMY CHOO heels finished up her look.

2017 MET Gala Wrap-up

On May 1st, the Rei Kawakubo Comme des Garcons-Art of the In-Between 2017 MET Costume Institute Gala took place at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art in New York.  To see all of the celeb looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up.

Evan Rachel Wood once again teamed up with ALTUZARRA for a great look which featured a  embroidered chiffon dress in midnight blue over black tuxedo pants. An edgy beauty look and a black clutch & pumps finished up her look.

Thandie Newton took on the theme by wearing a red hue dress courtesy of MONSE. Her one long sleeve Swarovski beaded floor length dress featured a ruched split detail. With her hair accented with flowers, she finished up with JENNIFER FISHER jewelry and STUART WEITZMAN sandals.

Salma Hayek wore a BALENCIAGA black waist high split dress and SPRING 2017 boots. Love the boots which we have seen on several occasions but overall, this is just okay for me. Minimal make-up, a ponytail and a metallic clutch finished up her look.

Along with Daisy Ridley, Zoe Kravitz & Miranda Kerr wore OSCAR DE LA RENTA on May 1st at the Rei Kawakubo Comme des Garcons-Art of the In-Between 2017 MET Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art in New York.  

Zoe Kravitz was a standout in a custom FALL 2017 strapless pale pink and black duchesse satin column gown with a cape back and a black floral neckline. As far as her beauty look & accessories, Zoe kept things simple which allowed her dress to remain the focal point as it should. 

Miranda Kerr wore a FALL 2017 silver lamé and red poppies jacquard tea length gown which she accessorized with CARTIER jewelry and CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN sandals. A complimentary beauty look and a red lip finished up her beautiful look.

Elizabeth Banks, Kerry Washington & Mandy Moore wore MICHAEL KORS COLLECTION at the Rei Kawakubo Comme des Garcons-Art of the In-Between 2017 MET Costume Institute Gala this evening(May 1st) at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art in New York.  

Elizabeth Banks wore a black & white printed printed floor length dress which she accessorized with JENNIFER FISHER & ESTABLISH jewelry, a JIMMY CHOO clutch and GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI sandals. I like the dress but it doesn't Met Gala excite. 

Kerry Washington rocked a black & silver floor length dress which featured studs, sequins, cut-outs, fringe and a split detail. She incorporated the designers signature bob with bangs in her look. Her edgy look was topped off with MK accessories as well. 

Mandy Moore wore a black floral panel knit dress with one three-quarter sleeve and one long sleeve with a cut-out shoulder. Adding some drama to her look, she went with a lavender smokey eye which was topped off with a slick, center part up-do and silver metallic accessories.

Following her street style outing, Rita Ora made her way to the carpet for the Rei Kawakubo Comme des Garcons-Art of the In-Between 2017 MET Costume Institute Gala this evening(May 1st) at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art in New York.  

She wore a custom MARCHESA red & pink layered one-shoulder bow bow detail silk gown with crossover panels. It is no surprise to see Rita wearing Marchesa because sh has a good relationship team. 

To pay homage to designer Rei Kawakubo, Rita went with a platinum blonde cap which looked like cut-out chunks of hair. She finished up with LORRAINE SCHWARTZ jewelry, CASADEI heels and matching red lip using RIMMEL LONDON. What do you think of Rita's look?

Along with Halle Berry & Kylie Jenner, Celine Dion & Blake Lively also wore ATELIER VERSACE at the Kawakubo Comme des Garcons-Art of the In-Between 2017 MET Costume Institute Gala this evening(May 1st) at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art in New York.  

Celine Dion wore a FALL 2014 short sleeve silver Swarovski crystal body suit with a dramatic, leg-baring black full skirt and metallic buckle accents. The only I would switch out here are the pumps for strappy sandals. For her first appearance ever, she looked great. 

Blake Lively wore a long sleeve gold gown comprised of delicate gold chains with multi-color feather accents cascading down the train in a dégradé fashion from gold to ocean blue. The feathered hem is what makes this gown stand out and I thought it fit Blake very well. LORRAINE SCHWARTZ jewelry and a ponytail finished up her look.

She didn't attend last year but Rihanna was back on her fashion high on May 1st at the Kawakubo Comme des Garcons-Art of the In-Between 2017 MET Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art in New York.  

Working a avant-grade inspired look from the event's honoree, Riri nailed this COMME DES GARCONS FALL 2016 floral panel dress which was layered like petals with cut-outs. 

I think if I saw this on anyone else, the results would be different. From the hair, make-up and thigh-high lace-up sandals, this was a winning look. One of the top best of the night. Do you agree?

Staying on tune with the theme, she wore a cobalt blue three-quarter sleeve COMME DES GARCONS sculpted floral coat dress which featured a high neckline. 

The statement dress is so Tracee and even though I wish she pulled the neckline down in the front, I still like this look. A statement clutch, LOUBOUTIN sandals, smokey eyes and a high bun finished up her look.

Lupita Nyong'o stood out in the group wearing a strapless orange floor length silk-chiffon feathered dress. It's a simple design but I love the color on her and she sells. A complimentary beauty look, TIFFANY & CO jewelry and LOUBOUTIN sandals finished up her look. 

Sarah Paulson took on the lingerie trend wearing a black satin floor length dress with black & red feathered cuffs and hem. I can' say that I am loving the dress but Sarah just looks pretty to me. IRENE NEUWIRTH jewelry finished up her look. 

Diane Kruger wore a sleeveless white & gold embellished floor length dress with cut-out sides, a draped, peplum back and a short train detail. Beauty wise, she went with a short, wavy cut and pink lips which topped off her look along with gold jewelry and a light blue clutch.

Making her first appearance at the event, Ruth Negga hit the red carpet at the Rei Kawakubo Comme des Garcons-Art of the In-Between 2017 MET Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art on May 1st in New York.

Dressed in H&M Ashley Graham, Sasha Lane and Nicki Minaj attended the Rei Kawakubo Comme des Garcons-Art of the In-Between 2017 MET Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art on May 1st in New York.  

Ashley Graham who also attended a pre-Met party, worked her frame in a strapless white & red floor length gown with cascading tulle florals from the shoulder to the hem of the gown. A slick side part up-do, PIAGET jewelry and SCHUTZ sandals finished up her look. 

Sasha Lane wore a black strapless beaded organza calf length dress. Another sheer look, similar to something we have already seen. However I can't say that I like the bodice of the dress but I like her beauty look. The EDIE PARKER 'Jean' clutch finished up her look.

Nicki Minaj showed some leg in a black & red beaded panel jacket with a belted waist & dramatic train and black shorts. This is such a Nicki look but it definitely worked for the occasion. VERSACE sandals, red lip and straight tresses finished up her look.
