23rd Critics' Choice Awards Wrap-up

Last night(January 11th) the 23rd Annual Critics' Choice Awards took place at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA. To see all of the celeb looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up. 

Olivia Munn who hosted the show, wore a PRADA red halter, column dress with an embellished neckline. The detailed neckline is what keeps this dress somewhat interesting. NIWAKA jewelry, LOUBOUTIN heels and wavy tresses finished up her look.

Mary J. Blige who is celebrating her b-day, wore a custom VIVIENNE WESTWOOD iridescent strapless gown which featured the designer's signature bustier, draped bodice and train detail. I like the dress but not the fit of the bodice.

Gal Gadot also wore PRADA. Her silver metallic pleated halter dress featured a plunging neckline, a crisscross strap, cutout back and a black embellished waist. Straight off-the-shoulder tresses and a pink lip color finished up her look.

Jessica Biel in Oscar de la Renta at the 23rd Critics' Choice Awards

Following her attendance at the Globes, Jessica Biel made her way to the blue carpet for the  23rd Annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hangar this evening(January 11th) in Santa Monica, CA.

The actress was beautiful in a OSCAR DE LA RENTA SPRING 2018 sleeveless sheer black, red & pink printed logo tulle dress which stopped just above her ankles and featured a white bodysuit for coverage. 

On the beauty end, she complimented her look with side parted waves and a pink lip color. NIWAKA jewelry, a TYLER ELLIS clutch and STUART WEITZMAN sandals finished up her winning look.

Following an appearance at a Globes event, Jessica Chastain made her way to the blue for the 23rd Annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA this evening(January 11th).

The actress wore a VIONNET SPRING 2018 green silk-chiffon pleated halter dress with a cutout bodice. On the runway, Jessica's dress was unlined but she opted for matching lining which worked in her favor. 

However I can't say that I am loving the shape of this dress on her. She doesn't look bad but it's not my favorite look. Center part waves and pink lips finished up her look. Are you sold on this silhouette on Jessica?

Madeline Brewer has been slowly making noise with her style on the carpet. The actress attended the  23rd Annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hangar this evening(January 11th) in Santa Monica, CA.

Turning to ELIZABETH KENNEDY, she wore the designer's SPRING 2017 strapless gown which featured a light blue, satin bustier top and a embroidered paillette floor length skirt. 

Madeline's gown wasn't shown with a waistband in the look book but thankfully she added one. The contrasting burgundy velvet band added a nice balance to her beautiful look. IRENE NEUWIRTH jewelry, GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI sandals, smokey eyes and wavy tresses finished up her look.

Whether hit or miss, Yara Shahidi always has fun with her fashion choices. She attended the 23rd Annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hangar this evening(January 11th) in Santa Monica, CA.

She hit the blue carpet in a GIAMBATTISTA VALLI SPRING 2017 COUTURE long sleeve purple silk-chiffon printed gown with a ruffle neckline, an embellished bodice and a pleated skirt. While Yara's gown was unlined on the runway, the young starlet lined her gown for her appearance. 

Also to ensure that nothing takes away from her look, she wore her hair in a sleek, center part bun and opted for a nude make-up look. This is a beautiful gown which I think sells better in motion. What do you think of Yara's look?

Following her appearance at the Globes, Diane Kruger hit the blue carpet this evening(January 11th) at the 23rd Annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA.

Diane presented at the awards wearing a VERA WANG SPRING 2018 white floor sweeping gown with draped cold-shoulders, a faux layered beaded, corset top and a short train. 

This is the second time that we are seeing Diane in a dress from this collection. The bodice is a tad confusing in design but I think overall, Diane sells it. A side parted wavy cut, smokey eyes, MESSIKA jewelry and a TYLER ELLIS clutch finished up her look.

Turning to one of her go to designer brands, she was head to toe in CHLOE SPRING 2018 which featured a two-tone cutout embellished & ruffle calf length dress, an embroidered bag and camel lace-up, peep-toe booties. 

This is the second time that we have seen Haley in a dress from this collection. I wish she wore the top as presented on the runway as it looks more appealing. Also I would have liked to see this belted. Love her beauty look though. What do you think of Haley's Chloe look?

Working this split on her dress, she wore a GEORGES HOBEIKA FALL 2017 COUTURE pink floor gazing dress with a plunging neckline, cold-shoulders and voluminous sleeves. 

Surprisingly, Heidi shorten the split on her dress which I think was a good choice. This shade of pink is not the best for her but the dress works. Minimal make-up, center part waves and metallic sandals finished up her look.

Also I want to pull the dress up about an inch on to two on the bust. While she added a darker pink lip for balance, I still don't like this color on her. Are you sold on Rachel's look?
