Lacoste La Machine L.12.12 Fragrance Launch Party

On Monday night, I attended the launch party of LACOSTE new men's fragrance at Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Station. It was a lavish event that featured a performance by Grand Master Flash, some Lacoste dancers, cocktails and more. The fragrance collection,  EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12 BLANC, BLEU AND VERT, catapults the brand to the next level as they transform their signature polo shirt into a trio of clean, fresh and timeless scents. The whole idea is to bring to life the spirit of the Lacoste L12.12 shirt but in a fragrance. Each fragrance delivers a masculine, crisp feeling but in three moods. At the event onlookers were able to watch this transformation on the "La Machine". It was simple but amazing.

Blanc/White Edition
Is inspired by the classic white L.12.12 shirt, the fragrance is woody and herbal with a blend of grapefruit, rosemary, cardamon and cedar leaf. Natural tuberose, ylang ylang, cedarwood, georgywood with notes of vetiver. All notes combines creates a woody, floral like scent but is very masculine. This scent is my favorite of the three.

Bleu/Blue Edition
Top notes of a citrusy grapefruit with cool notes of peppermint and watery fruits. The heart of the scents include a smooth accord of sage, that;s blended together with patchouli, amber wood and oak moss. This scent is a little strong to me but very smooth and masculine.

Vert/Green Edition
This scent opens with citrus notes merging together bergamot, verbena and grapefruit. The top notes consist of blue lavender, thyme, violet leaf and fig. At the base of the scent is bamboo grass. This scent to me is very earthy and powerful but still fresh.

The EDT 100ml bottle will retail for $62 and the EDT 30ml will retail for $39. It is available for purchase at Macy's, Dillards, Bloomingdales, specialty stores like Sephora, and Lacoste.
