Mark Cross Bags to Launch Exclusively at Barney's

MARK CROSS handbags launched today exclusively at BARNEY'S NY  stores and online. The brand started out as a saddle and harness company in 1845 but was later re-purchased and excelled into leather goods. The "Grace Box"(shown above), a clutch inspired by Grace Kelly was featured in Hitchcock’s "Rear Window" which ultimately lead to the brand's heighten success and popularity. However the company closed it's doors in 1997 but re-launched in 2010 with classic styles for the chic and sophisticated fashionista. Details like the inner zipper and detachable strap, gives the line a updated feel. Though the collection is still very modern, it is inspired by vintage Mark Cross which stays true to the brands style. Collection 1 features about seven styles in vibrant colors along with black & neutral. The hardware details are minimal but the stylish shapes of the bags showcases the luxury appeal. The bags retails between $1,495-$2,350.
