During Paris Fashion Week BASIL SODA showed their Fall/Winter 2012 collection at the Ritz Hotel. The color tone for the collection started out dark but pops of color like tangerine and royal blue added life along with metallics, white and grey. Dresses had intricate detailing like cut-outs and pleats along with draped and plunging V necks. In some cases, shoulders were padded and structured. Velvet and mesh were used along with chiffon and satin. My favorite piece in the collection was a tangerine cowl neck chiffon gown that will look absoultely gorgeous on Viola Davis on the red carpet. Also I loved the royal blue sheath dress with cut-out & mesh detailing, padded shoulders and a peplum like detail with embellishment on the wiast. Overall the collection looks onward with a futuristic vibe. Detailing was key along with structured elements.
