On hand as one of the presenters, Bel Powley hit the blue carpet this afternoon at the 2016 Film Independent Spirit Awards at the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, CA.
For the occasion, she wore the MARY KATRANTZOU PRE-FALL 2016 sleeveless 'Balas' pink v-neck dress with a cut-out embellished front panel and a solid back panel. Her dress was layered in the look book but Bel opted not to layer hers for the occasion.
To keep her look fun and interesting, Bel styled her dress with the NICHOLAS KIRKWOOD 'Maya' pacman platform sandals. Bel's look was on tune for the event and the sandals definitely kept her look alive. Opting to not to accessorized her look with jewelry, she finished up with a high bun and a pink lip color.

The dress with its little cut-outs all over is more of an 'overdress' and looks better worn over something (as presented in the look book), and the shoes are way too harsh here, heavy and horribly chunky. Doesn't look good to me.
