2016 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Wrap-up

Following the Oscars, the celebs stepped out in full force at the 2016 Vanity Fair Oscar party which was held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday(February 28th) in Beverly Hills, CA. To see all of the celebs looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up.

Olivia Munn wore a J. MENDEL FALL 2016 green gown with a cutout bodice, calla lily embroidery and a thigh high split. Adding more shine to her look, she accessorized with LORRAINE SCHWARTZ jewelry. A ponytail and CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN sandals completed her sultry look.

Emma Roberts wore a YANINA SPRING 2016 COUTURE white tulle and black dotted feathered gown with a v-neckline and a black satin tie waist. I am thankful that her cleavage was not on display with that wide neckline. An up-do with side swept bangs, red lips, a black clutch and MARTIN KATZ jewelry finished up her great look.

Sanaa Lathan on the other hand was showing some cleavage in a sleeveless black ROBERTO CAVALLI dress with an gold embellished neckline. Instead of going with a colored lip, Sanaa opted for a glossy lip offset with a shimmery gold eye. This look is a bit generic, nothing exciting.

Chrissy Teigen ditched her Marchesa gown for a black sequin TALBOT RUNHOF cape sleeve gown. If this looks familiar, that's because Uzo Aduba wore it at the Globes this year. Add a colored lip and I would love this more than her Oscars look. However she still looked great.

Jessica Alba wore a ROBERTO CAVALLI PRE-FALL 2016 white jersey long-sleeve gown with a plunging neckline, a front slit and a black suede belt featuring gold hardware. I think what I love most about her look is the hair & make-up but she looked great in general. DAVID WEBB jewelry, a JIMMY CHOO clutch and BRIAN ATWOOD sandals completed her look.

Gillian Jacobs looked great in a blue strapless ZAC POSEN floral embroidered gown with a train detail. Her gown which also featured a sweetheart neckline was dresses up with KWIAT jewelry.

Lily Collins made a shimmery entrance wearing a SAINT LAURENT gold sequin center front split dress with draped side panels. Adding a retro touch to her look, side part waves was added to her beauty look along with an espresso smokey eye and lip.

Priyanka Chopra ditched her Zuhair Murad Oscars gown for a JENNY PACKHAM PRE-FALL 2016 three-quarter sleeve draped sequin gown with a mock neck and a long key hole detail. The gown was featured in maroon in the look book which I would have preferred. The color feels a bit safe but the gown fits nicely on her.

Jennifer Lawrence wore a disappointing Dior look at the Oscars which she ditched for a ALEXANDER WANG strapless black split neck crop top and the matching high split long skirt. Jennifer's style is a bit all over the place but not in a good way. This doesn't suit her and it sits look on the chest.

Sofia Vergara swapped out her Marchesa Oscars gown for a MARK ZUNINO white strapless beaded gown which she accessorized with LORRAINE SCHWARTZ jewelry. This look is right up her style alley and I like it more than her Oscars look.

Nina Dobrev wore a ELIE SAAB pale pink beaded tulle gown. I like the contrast of the bright pink belt as it keeps her look interesting. An AMANDA PEARL clutch, CASADEI heels and ANNE SISTERON jewelry completed her look.

Hailee Steinfeld also wore a ELIE SAAB look. Her SPRING 2015 sheer black beaded gown was accessorized with RANDELL SCOTT jewelry. A off-the-shoulder hairstyle would have been ideal.

Vanessa Hudgens wore an H&M Conscious Exclusive black silk gown which she accessorized with an ORTON clutch. Too bad her dress has creases but I love her beauty look.

Lorde wore a custom MONIQUE LHUILLIER dress which featured a gold embellished top and a black sheer tulle layered skirt. I wish her hair was sleeker and off-the-shoulder. MIKIMOTO jewelry and a black clutch completed her look.

Jurnee Smollett wore a CRISTINA OTTAVIANO dress which I thought was Vivienne Westwood at first glance. She is beautiful but for this event, her look is underwhelming. I am not a fan of the length or the fit. Also the pumps which are GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI are a let down. A simple ankle strap sandal would have been ideal.

Daisy Ridley ditched her Chanel Oscars look for a GIAMBATTISTA VALLI SPRING 2016 COUTURE black ruffle tulle and floral dress with cut-out sides. Looking at this, I envision seeing on it someone like Chloe Moretz. I don't like this dress on her and those JIMMY CHOO heels aren't helping.

Amanda Peet wore a brown velvet and satin OSCAR DE LA RENTA PRE-FALL 2016 draped gown which was adorned with a beaded tulle waist sash. While I don't favor the bottom, she wears it well.

Juno Temple shimmered also in a gold sequin SAINT LAURENT dress like Lily Collins. I just cannot get on board with that hair and eye make-up, that's all.

Eve Hewson wore the shimmery HOUGHTON 'Bacall' gown with a pleated skirt and train detail. This could have easily washed her out but a bold red lip saved her. A RAUWOLF clutch and MEIRAT jewelry completed her look.

Juliette Lewis wore a VIVIENNE WESTWOOD black off-the-shoulder embellished gown with a hi lo hem & train detail. Juliette has been wearing the designer a lot lately but I am not sure that it is  a good fit. Also the hair doesn't compliment her look.

Zooey Deschanel stepped out for a rare appearance wearing the SACHIN + BABI 'Selena' dress. I am not sure what the style thought process was here but those ballerina flats shouldn't have been near this dress unless her feet was hurting. Also the hair is just a simple no.

  1. Nina looks beautiful in her Elie Saab gown, I like the delicate pink belt too, preventing the look from being too one-note. Also, overall, Kate Bosworth blew me away in Ralph and Russo Couture - the gown couldn't have been more perfect on her fragile frame, can't take my eyes off of her (I think she is now my 2nd fave of the entire event, after Cate Blanchett's one of a kind Armani). And I thought Diane Kruger's daring look was quite striking, she pulled it off.

And it's official imo Chrissy's pregnancy style is better and classier than her regular style.

  2. I like most of them, except that Yanina's dress which is horrible (spider invasion) and the Giambatista's one that looks too juvenile and out of place for the occasion.
Chrissy's change of style is indeed VERY welcome. I am surprised how much I like both the Saint Laurent dresses (usually I am not a fan ).
