Sophie Gregoire Trudeau & Michelle Obama at the Welcoming & State Dinner for the Canadian PM Trudeau

Yesterday Sophie Gregoire Trudeau & Michelle Obama brought the style A-game at the White House welcoming and State Dinner for the Canadian PM Trudeau in Washington, D.C.

Sophie Gregoire Trudeau wore two different dresses from Canadian designer LUCIAN MATIS SPRING 2016 collection. The first was vibrant red & purple floral three-quarter sleeve belted dress which she styled nicely with coordinating pumps. The over sized red clutch might be a bit too much with the dress but her sophisticated look which was topped off with a ponytail, worked for the occasion.

Later on for the Canada State Dinner, she slipped into another dress from the designer's same collection which allowed her to standout next to the First Lady. Her cap sleeve purple gown was adorned with orange and pink beading and accessorized with a matching purple clutch and drop earrings. Off-the-shoulder waves completed her look elegant look.

First Lady Michelle Obama welcomed the Trudeau's wearing a black three-quarter sleeve with an custom TANYA TAYLOR sleeveless black & green printed dress underneath. She can see the dress without the coat via the designer's instagram. Tanya Taylor is also a Canadian designer and although she has worn looks from the designer before, on this occasion, I am sure it was an ode to welcoming the Trudeau's.

Last on, she slipped into a custom JASON WU FALL 2016 strapless textured navy floral printed embroidered gown with a crossover detail. Beauty wise, the First Lady went with a glossy nude lip and voluminous curls. Mrs. O is never one to shy away from showing her toned arms and she looked here.
