29th Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala Wrap-up

Yesterday evening(January 2nd) the 29th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards Gala took place at the Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, CA. To see all of the celeb looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up.

Salma Hayek wore a green GUCCI floor length pleated dress with contrasting pink ribbon embellished straps and bow beaded waist sash. Salma looks pretty but this feels so familiar. A pink lip and center part curls finished up her look.

Jessica Chastain wore a GIVENCHY black floor length dress which featured a see-through, long sleeve lace top, a mock & v-neckline and a center front split detail. I wish her beautiful, center front waves were off-the-shoulder but she still looks great in this all black look. PIAGET jewelry and LOUBOUTIN sandals finished up her look.

Allison Janney looked simply beautiful in a LELA ROSE green off-the-shoulder gown which was accessorized with a box clutch, LETICIA LINTON jewelry and STUART WIETZMAN sandals.

Octavia Spencer wore a altered version of the TADASHI SHOJI 'Anae' black pleated, lace & silk-chiffon gown which was layered with nude underlining for coverage. Octavia looks beautiful no doubt but I feel like I have seen her in a similar dress/gown from the designer before.

Sally Hawkins wore a CHRISTIAN DIOR RESORT 2018 long sleeve black sheer dotted, lace gown. On the runway, Sally's gown was shown with a black bra & briefs underneath for coverage. However she opted for nude lining. While I don't mind the lining, it's the fit that doesn't work for me. Maybe she should have kept the belt the dress was also shown with on the runway

Jessica Pare ditched wearing a dress for a long black sheer, asymmetrical top and black ankle length trousers with pockets which she utilized. To keep her look somewhat interesting, she wore a statement necklace.
