47th AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute To Denzel Washington

The 47th AFI Life Achievement Award honoring Denzel Washington took place yesterday evening(June 6th) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

Chadwick Boseman was on his style game as always, rocking a GIVENCHY SPRING 2019 petrol blue & black sequin two-piece suit, shirt & tie and logo dress shoes. I can fuss about that hem but that does hurt the overall appeal of his look. It's always a joy to see him on the carpet because he is one of the few men who doesn't play it safe fashion wise.

Paula Patton's style is a hit or miss but on this occasion, it's a hit. This MOSCHINO FALL 2019 green embellished cutout, pleated chiffon dress is one of her best looks in a long time. The doesn't really work with the dress but I love her natural curly Afro which topped off her look with the jewelry from the runway's look.

Ava DuVernay wore a masculine inspired look, which featured a black belted, wool tench dress. A black embellished clutch, statement jewelry, ROGER VIVER pumps, and a flawless beauty look rounded out her look.

Denzel Washington who was the man of the hour kept it classic in a black tuxedo. Although it doesn't excite, the un-hemmed pants is the main issue with his look.
