2019 Glamour Women of the Year Awards Wrap-up

Yesterday evening(November 11th) Aja Naomi King, Charlize Theron and more attended the 2019 Glamour Women of the Year Awards at Alice Tully Hall Lincoln Center in New York.

Yara Shahidi who was an honoree, wore the SCHIAPARELLI FALL 2019 COUTURE 'State of Undress' skirt in floral-printed silk faille with inverse-printed details, paired with a crystal knit sports bra. While the top wasn't lined on the runway, Yara's top was partially lined for coverage. In general she definitely looks great and her beauty was flawless but I think the skirt is more suited for someone taller.

Ava DuVernay who was also an honoree, stayed with usually silhouette as always, wearing a custom black long-sleeve mock neck gown with a-line skirt and multicolored patchwork detail by GRETA CONSTANTINE.

Samira Wiley looked great wearing a VITOR ZERBINATO jumpsuit that featured a white long sleeve, v-neck top and black sequin trousers which were belted at the waist. NOUDAR earrings and a silver box clutch rounded out her look.

Danai Gurira wore a TORY BURCH SPRING 2020 pink semi-sheer ruffle plaid dress with a tie-neck. I can't see that I am loving this but she sells it because the color looks great on her and her beauty look is flawless.

MJ Rodriguez worked the split on her custom CONG TRI yellow cold-shoulder dress which she accessorized with WENDY YUE earrings and ankle strap sandals.

Niecy Nash who was an honoree, served up some cleavage action wearing a REDEMPTION burgundy velvet & crystal dress with a slit detail and draped panel. I am guessing since the draped panel was so long, that she decided to pin it partially to the dress. However I wish it was just shorten. But a sexy look for the actress no doubt.

Willow Shields who has been MIA from the carpet, could not be missed wearing a BIBHU MOHAPATRA FALL 2019 vibrant fuchsia layered chiffon halter gown with draped panels. On this occasion, I wish she wore a softer lip color but she still looked great.

Ella Hunt wore a OSCAR DE LA RENTA FALL 2019 neutral gathered floral tie-neck gown with a plunging neckline and slit detail. I feel like she needed a colored lip here but I like the gown on her in general.

Olivia Palermo is always serving style. She wore a MONICA BYRNE SPRING 2020 dress which she teamed with sheer black stocking and fuchsia CASADEI sandals. Gold jewelry and a EMM KUO clutch rounded out her great look.

Sophia Lillis went the futuristic route, wearing a BATSHEVA RESORT 2020 metallic iridescent ruffle tier dress which she accessorized with BONHEUR jewelry and CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN sandals. I think she looked great in this dress but I dislike her shoe choice.

Anne V stepped out in a ETRO FALL 2019 printed velvet mini dress, which she teamed with black mesh, ankle strap pumps.

Jameel Jamil chose a orange & black sequin, corset waist dress from the BALMAIN SPRING 2020 collection. The dress in general doesn't suit her but I like the styling. This dress would sell so much better on someone like Rihanna.

Anna Wintour came through in a CHANEL FALL 2018 COUTURE black velvet and printed embroidered dress which she teamed with black boots. This dress suits Anna but I wish she left the necklace out.

Cara Buono also wore a dress from the BIBHU MOHAPATRA FALL 2019 collection. Her black semi-sheer tea length tulle dress was adorned with black & white feathers.

Halima Aden also wore a look from the TORY BURCH SPRING 2020 collection which featured a yellow taffeta, pussy bow blouse and nude linen & black leather trim trousers.

Sarah Jones looked lovely wearing a RONALD VAN DER KEMP SPRING 2019 COUTURE floral draped panel dress, which was belted at the waist.

Busy Philipps hosted the event wearing a MISHA white sequin, draped neck dress which she teamed with ROGER VIVIER pumps.

Megan Rapinoe was on hand as an honoree wearing a GUCCI velvet embellished, pleated dress and accessories. She definitely wore a lot of jewelry
