Cate Blanchett in Alexander McQueen at the 77th Venice Film Festival

Following her previous outing, Cate Blanchett attended the Golden Lion Award for Lifetime Achievement Ceremony at the 77th Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy yesterday(September 8th).

When it comes to picking unique pieces on the red carpet, Cate has a knack for that but I am afraid she lost me with this ALEXANDER MCQUEEN SPRING 2020 piece. This hybrid blazer-dress is just over-designed and confusing.

I have to say that I have been a bit disappointed with her looks so far at this festival. Cate usually gives us looks that effortlessly sings on the carpet but that hasn't been the case so far.

Don't get wrong, she hasn't had any bad looks even though she is re-wearing a lot of her previous red carpet looks. My red carpet expectations for Cate is always high because of her track record.

With four more days left for this festival, let's keep our fingers crossed that she will deliver something magically and memorable because this McQueen isn't it. What do you think of Cate's McQueen look?
