52nd NAACP Image Awards Wrap-up

Viola Davis, Tracee Ellis Ross and more attended the virtual 52nd NAACP Image awards yesterday evening(March 27th) and their looks were posted to instagram because there was no red carpet.

Regina King wowed in a custom OSCAR DE LA RENTA draped taffeta dress with a dramatic train in the back that flowed down to the floor. This rust hue looks fantastic on her. She just looks amazing, period. IRENE NEUWITH jewelry and STUART WEITZMAN sandals finished up her look. Photo posted by her stylist Wayman + Micah / taken by James Anthonylinktr.ee/iamjamesanthony

Janelle Monae never lets me down. She looked stunning wearing a CHRISTIAN SIRIANO FALL 2021 black & white one long sleeve cutout gown which was accessorized with JENNIFER FISHER jewelry. This look was flawless head to toe and that's all. Photo posted by Janelle Monae / taken by Angelo Kritikoswww.angelokritikos.com

Nicco Annan looked sharp wearing a custom KAMSI-TCHARLES suit which was accessorized with a GIVENCHY necklace and SANTONI shoes. Photo posted by his stylist Icon Billingsley / taken by Kelly Balchkellybalch.com

Alicia Keys was on hand as a presenter wearing a black VERSACE dress which she dressed up with CARTIER jewelry. I wish we had a photo length photo of this but she still looked beautiful.

Andra Day looked beautiful posing in a sexy cutout back, DUNDAS PRE-FALL 2020 off-white and blue striped knit maxi dress which was teamed with CASADEI sandals.  Photo by her makeup artist Porsche Cooper

Angela Bassett wore a GRAHAM CRUZ dress which was accessorized with PERUFFO earrings, CHIMENTO cuffs and CASADEI sandals. The gold hardware on the bodice may look weird but the dress would be very blah without it. She is owning this look and I love her hairstyle. She always has fun with her fashion choices. Cynthia Erivo wore a LANVIN SPRING 2021 dress which she accessorized with MATEO jewelry and CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN pumps. I wanted to like this so bad but there is a lot of issues with this look. First, I feel like flesh tone underlining should have been added for coverage. The v-neck was shorten but it actually works in her favor but the drop waist skirt, which are hard to wear, is not working on Cynthia and the proportions looks off. I actually prefer the length and the look of the dress more on the model. Photo posted by her stylist: Jason Bolden.

Jurnee Smollett served up some leg action wearing a strapless black velvet & emerald satin bustier gown and fuchsia tie-around sandals with a crystal rose from the ALEXANDRE VAUTHIER FALL 2020 COUTURE collection. Yes I kinda wish she switch things up & didn't wear this as presented but she still looked great. Photo: Maria Jose Govea thesupermaniak.com courtesy of BPCM

Tabitha Brown is my favorite vegan blogger turned actress and she was on hand as a nominee. She looked beautiful wearing a SIR ALGERNON belted gown, which she accessorized with gold jewelry. If you follow Tabitha, she named her hair ''Donna'' which she perfectly styled herself in an up-do to complete her look.

Yara Shahidi ditched dressing up for a casual look by CHRISTIAN DIOR. Her navy and white logo & stripe ensemble has a pajama feel and doesn't feel like an awards show look but she's at home looking great. A ponytail and CARTIER jewelry rounded out her look. Photo by her stylist: Jason Bolden
