On Saturday(November 20th) the 2021 Soul Train Awards which was presented by BET, took place at The Apollo Theater in New York City.
Ashanti was on hand to receive the ''Lady of Soul'' award wearing a dramatic CHRISTIAN SIRIANO black strapless gown. This is definitely different from her usually sexy, cutout dresses and for this occasion, I am glad that she went this route. She looked beautiful but I feel like she needed a necklace.
21 Savage could not be missed wearing a JACQUEMUS FALL 2021 fuchsia suit & crossbody bag. The black shoes doesn't really work for me but it is the ideal choice.
Ari Lennox wore a JOLLESON silver beaded chainmail & feather asymmetrical halter dress with a plunging neckline. I think the issue here is the neckline but other than that, she looked good.
Paula Patton wore a black and leopard panel, one long sleeve dress from the MOSCHINO PRE-FALL 2021 collection. The dress is not that flattering on her and the pink satin, bow pumps which provided some color to her look, feels like an after thought.
Summer Walker is enjoying the success of her new amazing album and for the occasion, she wore a LAQUAN SMITH SPRING 2019 drape, printed halter dress. The dress looks a little too tight on her but it's not a bad look in general.
