2nd Academy Museum Gala

On Saturday(October 15th) the 2nd annual Academy Museum Gala was held at Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in LA with a lot of notable celebs in attendance.

Jodie Turner-Smith has been on a style roll and it continues with her in this GUCCI dress. She was just a flawless beauty from head to toe even though I'm not 100% sold on the color combination.

Natasha Lyonne also wore GUCCI. For me there is just too much going on here. 

Amal and George Clooney posed together and she looked so beautiful wearing this DEL CORE RESORT 2023 strapless dress. While I don't like the bra cups, that doesn't take away from how beautiful she looked. 

Alexa Demi looked gorgeous in this BALENCIAGA FALL 2022 COUTURE net embellished dress which was layered for coverage. I do think that she needed a sparkly ring though. 

Jay Ellis suited up perfectly in BRUNELLO CUCINELLI with CARTIER jewelry. 

Diego Boneta wore a black velvet suit by GIORGIO ARMANI.

Mia Goth kept it simple in a black velvet, GIORGIO ARMANI dress. The red lip added some edge and kept her look interesting but I still think some statement jewelry was needed. 

Selena Gomez kept it simple as well but still elegant wile wearing a GIORGIO ARMANI suit. 

Alicia Vikander of course wore LOUIS VUITTON. Her sequin, leather, lace & feather panel dress is from the label's SPRING 2023 collection. I don't like the design but I am glad that she left the bra out.  

 

Emma Stone re-emerged on the carpet wearing a dress from the LOUIS VUITTON SPRING 2023 collection as well. Again, I dislike the design, mainly the top.

Ho Yeon Jung was in LOUIS VUITTON SPRING 2023 as well and her dress was slightly better. Remove the leather trimming from the neckline & this would be a little better.

Nick Jonas & Sophie Turner posed together wearing different looks from the LOUIS VUITTON SPRING 2023 collection. Nick's look suits him perfectly & I wished that we saw Sophie's dress without the jacket.

Jurnee Smollett's LOUIS VUITTON SPRING 2023 dress is over-designed like the rest but I like the craziness of her dress more.

Alexandra Daddario wore a CHRISTIAN DIOR SPRING 2022 COUTURE white gown. I kinda dislike the netted neckline but it adds personality to the gown.

Hailey Bieber wore a strapless cutout chocolate brown dress from the SAINT LAURENT SPRING 2023 dress. Thankfully she chose it in a different color because I don't like the runway's hue. 

Julianna Marguiles wore a ZUHAIR MURAD FALL 2021 COUTURE sheer black & green beaded gown. She looked great but I wish that it was lined.

Kaitlyn Dever wore a CHRISTIAN DIOR RESORT 2023 embroidered cape, layered dress. The hairstyle is making this look matronly.

Kerry Washington wore a PRABAL GURUNG SPRING 2023 printed dress and I wish that the cutout's above the bust wasn't there.

Eiza Gonzalez sparkled in a red sequin LAQUAN SMITH SPRING 2023 column dress which was accessorized with BULGARI jewelry and LE SILLA heels. 

Julia Roberts does very well in masculine inspired looks and this THOM BROWNE suits here

Regina Hall showed some leg in a white DAVID KOMA feather & crystal embroidered dress with an asymmetrical split. We have seen this dress several times already but she still looked great. SHAY jewelry, a TYLER ELLIS clutch and STUART WEITZMAN sandals finished up her look

Keke Palmer rocked a ACT N1 FALL 2022 black suit with contrasting blue ruffle tulle. This is dramatic and fun, perfect for Keke and the occasion. 

Laura Harrier wore a THE ROW RESORT 2023 strapless dress and even though it is sitting slightly low on the bust, she looked gorgeous.

Lily Collins utilized the split on her CHRISTIAN DIOR FALL 2022 ensemble and she looked great. 

Naomi Scott wore a three-piece ERDEM SPRING 2023 and I thought that she pulled it off. It's a lot going on and the yellow may not be her shade but the red lip saved her. 

Allison Janney showed off her décolletage in a BRANDON MAXWELL PRE-FALL 2022 black off-the-shoulder dress. I actually prefer the top with the pants but Allison's custom version worked in her favor, especially with the red lip and diamond necklace. 

Jessica Chastain utilized the split on her OSCAR DE LA RENTA PRE-FALL 2022 floral cape, dress which was styled with CASADEI sandals. I feel like a colored heel would have elevated this but she still looked beautiful. 

Olivia Wilde was also sparkling courtesy of ALEXANDRE VAUTHIER. Her SPRING 2022 COUTURE silver mesh dress featured a playful, pink feather hem.  

Taylor Russell utilized the boob pockets on her black leather, halter dress from the ALEXANDER MCQUEEN SPRING 2023 collection. I loved her in this but I wish that she took a picture without her hands in the pockets. 

Thuso Mbedu was one of my top favorites in this look from the GIAMBATTISTA VALLI FALL 2017 COUTURE collection. She looked gorgeous from head to toe. 

Tilda Swinton wore a SCHIAPARELLI FALL 2022 black embellished dress and she pulled it off with ease. 

Kaia Gerber has her mother's whole face wearing a ALAIA SPRING 2023 sheer dress. I actually like this on her.

Mindy Kaling flipped her hair in navy sequin NAEEM KHAN dress and she looked beautiful. However I don't know what white underlining she is wearing but I wish that it wasn't visible. 

Kerry Condon also wore a sequin dress by NAEEM KHAN. Her keyhole, floor length dress fit her nicely but I wished that it was lined as well. 

Nicola Pelta-Beckham wore a GIVENCHY SPRING 2023 black glove gown and she should have definitely kept the belt, with the addition of a colored lip.
