2022 Best Dressed Fashionista/o Looks of the Year

Well another year is coming to end and it's that time when we debut our picks for Best Dressed Fashionista's/o's of the year. Yes, men were added to the list once again but of course the women still dominated the red carpet with Jodie Turner-Smith in particular who served us consistently. But celebs like Nicola Coughlan, Lizzo, Doja Cat and new comer Taylor Russell popped out with some winning looks that didn't get lost throughout the year. 1. Taylor Russell in SCHIAPARELLI FALL 2022. This looks has been on my mind since she hit the carpet wearing it. She may have mimicked the runway's presentation but she made this dress sing. The draped, exposed corset translated perfectly from the runway to the carpet on her and the hat was the icing on the cake. The most memorable look in my opinion. 

2. Jodie Turner-Smith in CHRISTOPHER JOHN ROGERS RPRE-FALL 2022. Jodie has done noting but serve us with some winning looks this year, making it hard to chose which ones were the top best. However, this one was memorable. She was so elegantly beautiful and the addition of the jewelry gave her look a sparkly, edgy finish.  

3. Lizzo in THOM BROWNE. I am thankful that these past few years full figured women have been getting a lot of recognition in the fashion industry. There is still more work to done but Lizzo's fashion game this year for the big red carpet events were a moment. This was one of my top favorite looks from the MET's. That cape on her was just glorious. 

4. Jodie Turner-Smith in HARBISON. Love the color on her and she looked flawlessly beautiful. It packed some drama, with an elegant, sultry appeal. This was moment that couldn't be forgotten. 

5. Emma Corrin in MIU MIU. This maybe a different design choice for the brand but it was the perfect style direction for Emma. It was a tribute to Evander Berry Wall aka the ''King of Dudes'' and she nailed the look perfectly. It was an unforgettable style moment. 

6. Jodie Turner-Smith in CHRISTOPHER JOHN ROGERS RESORT 2023. From the colors to her beauty look, this was flawless from head to toe. That's all. 

7. Jada Pinkett-Smith in JEAN PAUL GAULTIER SPRING 2022 COUTURE. Despite the situation that transpired that night, Jada made a dramatic entrance. She is known for rocking big gowns so this look was no surprise. She looked amazing and this gown deserved some shine. 

8. Nicola Coughlan in RICHARD QUINN. This was definitely a moment for Nicola who made her first appearance at the gala. It was playful & dramatic but still elegant and sexy. It was moment worth remembering.

9. Blake Lively in ATELIER VERSACE. For the MET's Blake delivered one of the best & most memorable looks of the night and the year. Her gown transformed from bronze to an oxidized green that paid tribute to lady liberty. She looked amazing. 

10. Zendaya in MAX MARA FALL 2022. For this type of event, you wouldn't think that a suit would standout so perfectly but it did on Zendaya. From the fit and the addition of the brooch, this was a memorable power suit moment. 

11. Doja Cat in SCHIAPARELLI SPRING 2022 COUTURE. She simply slayed this look from head to toe. From the accessories and the simplistic but still flawless beauty look, she took this couture look to new heights. 

12. Timothee Chalamet in LOUIS VUITTON SPRING 2022. Timothee was just on a role this year and this was also one of my favorite looks. He bared his chest in this ensemble, showcasing a risky, edgy, sexy side of him. He nailed it. 

13. Tilda Swinton in CHARLES JEFFREY LOVERBOY. Tilda has a unique androgynous style and when it comes to her red carpet looks for the most part, she never misses. 

14. Machine Gun Kelly in DOLCE & GABBANA. When MGK puts on a suit, he never fails me. He delivered some great red carpet looks this year but this was my favorite and stood out the most. It was sharp and perfectly put together. 

15. Gabrielle Union in ELIE SAAB FALL 2008. From head to toe, this was just a flawless look. This archival piece has a modern feel to it but regardless, she still made it sing. 

16. Jessica Chastain in GUCCI. Her red hair just looked divine against this green gown. Also the necklace enhanced her look. This was a big night for Jessica and she didn't disappoint 

17. Timothee Chalamet in HAIDER ACKERMANN. Timothee's style is in it's own fashion lane and this look proves why. He rocked this look so effortlessly well. 

18. Deepika Padukone in ABU JANI SANDEEP KHOSLA. This was an ethereal moment and she looked beautiful in this custom, traditional saree. She paid homage to Palme d'Or which is the highest honor at Cannes.

19. Lupita Nyong'o in ANITA DONGRE. She attended a wedding in Pakistan and she didn't disappoint wearing a traditional ''Lehenga'' set. From the color to the design, she looked flawless beautiful. 

20. Amal Clooney in DEL CORE RESORT 2023. This was such a simple but elegant look but with high impact. Amal never disappoints, her looks always effortless.
