80th Golden Globes Awards

Following her attendance at the NBR awards, Michelle Yeoh and more attended the Golden Globes awards which returned yesterday evening(January 10th). The 80th annual awards show took place at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.

Letitia Wright looked gorgeous in a custom PRADA SPRING 2023 floor sweeping dress with a slit detail. I prefer Letitia's custom version because the orange looked fantastic on her. 

Michelle Yeoh was so beautiful wearing a GIORGIO ARMANI PRIVE SPRING 2022 COUTURE strapless sequin embellished, peplum gown. I like Michelle's longer length. She nailed it. 

Viola Davis never disappoints when she is wearing color and she looked amazing in this custom JASON WU COLLECTION SPRING 2023 gown. I just hate that the hem got wet because of the carpet. 

ASAP Rocky & Rihanna didn't hit the carpet but they were spotted inside the venue. ASAP was onhand to support Riri who was nominated. The couple wore all black looks, with ASAP in BOTTEGA VENETA and Riri in SCHIAPARELLI SPRING 2023 COUTURE. You may remember Vanessa Hudgens wore it at the Tony awards last year. 

Anya Taylor-Joy showed off her midriff in a CHRISTIAN DIOR PRE-FALL 2023 yellow satin bandeau and tie-waist, wrap skirt. I almost feel like she should have kept the coat but the construction of this ensemble seems poorly done. 

Elizabeth Debicki also wore a CHRISTIAN DIOR PRE-FALL 2023 dress with a necklace from the label as well and JIMMY CHOO heels. The problem here is that the dress is not flattering on her at all, especially around the bust. 

Heidi Klum wore a GERMANIER SPRING 2023 sheer illusion, sequin & feather mini dress that should have been saved for the afterparty. 

Selena Gomez wore a VALENTINO FALL 2022 COUTURE black off-the-shoulder velvet gown with dramatic, puffy sleeves. I feel like this gown doesn't suit her and the sleeves are wearing her versus the other way around. Also the fit on the bust is off. 

Natasha Lyonne wore a GIVENCHY SPRING 2023 black ankle length dress which she dressed up with statement jewelry. But it was the STUART WEITZMAN platform booties that gave her look an unexpected, chic finish. I loved all of this. 

Jessica Chastain looked beautiful wearing a sheer illusion & nude embellished, strapless dress from the OSCAR DE LA RENTA PRE-FALL 2023 collection. Even though I liked this, I am not sold on the color for her. Also, the hair & make-up doesn't compliment it. CASADEI sandals finished up her look. 

Margot Robbie went back to wearing CHANEL, choosing a pink halter dress which was nipped at the waist. Yes I do prefer Margot's FALL 2022 COUTURE custom version but this is just okay for me, nothing memorable. 

Jenna Ortega is a first time nominee and she chose a GUCCI SPRING 2023 nude silk-chiffon, cutout dress. It's sexy and playful piece. I am not a fan of the uneven hem but the color is the main problem here. The dress actually looked better on her than it did on the runway.   

Julia Garner wore a pink GUCCI ruffle tier dress with DE BEERS jewelry and she looked lovely. Her ruffles is similar to Michelle's though which is not a bad thing. She looked great in this dress. However, I dislike the boob cups.

Michelle Williams also wore a dress by GUCCI. Her one-shoulder, ruffle dress feathered an asymmetrical side split and embellished trimming. I feel like this should have been ruffled all the way through, without the split but it's not a bad look. I just don't like the shoes. 

Daisy Edgar Jones wore a GUCCI gown and I feel like the head styling doesn't compliment it. Also, I don't like the v-crotch. 

Salma Hayek wore a sheer illusion, nude embellished dress by GUCCI. I have two issues here, the color and the black straps. 

Claire Danes recently announced that she is pregnant again and she stepped out in a GIAMBATTISTA VALLI FALL 2022 COUTURE embellished dress. I am not a fan of the bodice. 

Stephanie Hsu also wore a GIAMBATTISTA VALLI COUTURE gown but I am not feeling the bodice but it's not a bad look. 

Ana de Armas wore a LOUIS VUITTON strapless embellished gown. Her look doesn't excite but she does look pretty. 

Hannah Einbinder looked lovely in CAROLINA HERRERA PRE-FALL 2023. She almost always wears suits so this is refreshing for her.

Ayo Edebiri wore a ROSIE ASSOULIN FALL 2022 two-piece ensemble and she definitely should have left those horrible gloves out. Also, the design of the top is a bit weird and it's so unfortunate that the hem of her skirt got wet.

Quinta Brunson looked beautiful wearing CHRISTIAN SIRIANO. The silhouette could have easily come off as overwhelming on her but it worked on her. 

Sigourney Weaver wore a dress by SAINT LAURENT but it doesn't photograph well. It looks unflattering in the front.

Andrew Garfield wore a ZEGNA suit and I like the color on him but I feel like he needed some leather Chelsea boots or statement loafers. DAVID YURMAN jewelry finished up his look.

Donald Glover re-emerged on the scene wearing a SAINT LAURENT ensemble that looks like he is heading to bed. This look suits him perfectly but I can't say that I am sold on it and I fell like the pants could have been hemmed. 

Niecy Nash tends to gravitate towards the same silhouette all the time. She wore a DOLCE & GABBANA dress with a coordinating, dramatic cape. It's giving deja vu but she looked amazing. 

Jennifer Coolidge also wore DOLCE & GABBANA. Her black off-the-shoulder, black sequin dress was styled with a TYLER ELLIS clutch. It's a simple but great look.
