2023 Met Gala Celebrating ''Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty'' Wrap-up

Yesterday evening(May 1st) the 2023 Met Gala Celebrating ''Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty'' waswas held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. To see all of the celebs looks, click HERE.

Cardi B made a dramatic but playful entrance wearing a custom piece by CHENPENG. Cardi's style is always on point and she doesn't disappoint.

Ariana Debose wore ALTUZARRA FALL 2023 and the idea behind this dress is interesting but it's not working. 

Emma Chamberlain wore a custom MIU MIU that has KL references but I am not sold on the quality of the design. 

Sydney Sweeney wore a MIU MIU nude embellished, organza dress with a contrasting black bow around the calf. The makeup could have been better seeing as she is wearing nude but I still don't like the color on her. 

Letitia Wright posed in a custom PRADA FALL 2023 men's suit and she looked amazing. She has a versatile style, so she pulls this off very well. 

Maya Hawke wore a custom PRADA white mini dress and over-sized coat and if I wasn't told, I would have assumed this was Chanel. I'm not loving the white tights though. 

Olivia Wilde wore a custom CHLOE white & gold cutout, cape dress with detachable cuffs. The gold design on the bodice looks like a violin which it is & ode to a KL Chloe design but either way, I don't really love it on her. A TYLER ELLIS clutch finished up her look.

Maude Apatow also wore a custom CHLOE design which looks a little better than Olivia's dress. The arrow pointing below is weird but she does look pretty. 

Amanda Seyfried wore a OSCAR DE LA RENTA RESORT 2023 beaded, cutout mini dress and I am not sold on her look at look all. Also, I kinda wish she wore the longer version of this dress.

Doja Cat looked gorgeous in this cat ear embellished & feather gown by OSCAR DE LA RENTA. I am guessing she is paying homage to KL's beloved white cat with her cat face? 

Billie Eilish surprisingly and thankfully didn't wear Gucci. Instead, she wore a SIMONE ROCHA creation that she looked great in. The style and details touched on the gala's theme. 

Gwendoline Christie wore a FENDI SPRING 2023 COUTURE pink. draped dress with cold-shoulder, draped sleeves. She looked so beautiful but I don't like this color on her. 

Christina Ricci wore a FENDI SPRING 2023 COUTURE silver gown with a draped train. I can actually see this with wrist gloves but I don't like the neckline. 

Suki Waterhouse wore a FENDI SPRING 2019 nude embroidered, layered dress with REZA jewelry. I am not loving the color on her or the eye makeup. Although, if she kept the runway's pumps, that would have helped with a the color story. 

Kate Moss FENDI SPRING 2023 COUTURE silk & lace slip dress with dramatic, cape sleeves but I don't like the color on her. 

Precious Lee wore head to toe FENDI COUTURE and there are two things that I would change here. I would swap out the opera gloves for waist gloves and the almond toe heels for an open-toe pair. 

Anne Hathaway's ATELIER VERSACE custom safety pin jacket & strapless dress payed homage to KL for Chanel through the tweed fabric with keeping to the label's aesthetics. I just wish that she didn't wear such heavy heels but I still loved her look. 

Emily Ratajkowski wore a nude embellished TORY BURCH gown which she accessorized with FRED LEIGHTON jewelry. This is a departure from her really sexy looks and she looked pretty.  

Mary J. Blige wore a custom BURBERRY cobalt blue lace dress with the coordinating boots. Her look is. not on theme but the ribbon in the hair paid homage to KL. 

Jodie Comer wore navy embellished, one-shoulder dress by BURBERRY which was accessorized with FRED LEIGHTON jewelry. 

Lily James wore a custom TAMARA RALPH COUTURE black strapless, leather belted gown and the addition of the fingerless gloves was an ode to KL. 

Yara Shahidi was all grown up wearing this custom JEAN PAUL GAULTIER SPRING 2008 COUTURE strapless dress. The is a very mature look for Yara and the sexiest I ever seen her. However, I really don't like the bottom half.

Kendall Jenner wore custom MARC JACOBS black sequin bodysuit with dramatic, cape sleeves and platform boots. 

Kylie Jenner wore a custom JEAN PAUL GAULTIER by HAIDER ACKERMANN red one long sleeve, cutout dress with a two-tone robe. This is not on theme but I like this more without the robe. It feels like something she would wear on a regular basis. 

Irina Shayk payed homage to KL by wearing a YOHJI YAMAMOTO SPRING 1998 bridal dress and flats. I feel like her hair should have been in an up-do.  

Lala hosted the red carpet wearing a custom SERGIO HUDSON white one-shoulder bow and gold embellished dress. 

Rachel Brosnahan wore a SERGIO HUDSON partially sheer black beaded, floor length dress. She arrived wearing a long cape which she removed. This is the sexiest that I have ever seen Rachel and she looked great.

Florence Pugh debut a shaved head wearing a VALENTINO COUTURE strapless gown with a statement headpiece. I dislike the design of the bodice. 

Viola Davis alway hits us with a serve no matter what but I am always in awe of her when she wearing color. This VALENTINO fuchsia feather & pailliett strapless gown looked amazing on her. It doesn't hit the theme but it's a win. 

Allison Williams looked like a classic beauty wearing a custom PATOU peach belted satin dress with a draped, bow panel. The accessories is what helped to elevate this look but I think she needed open-toe heels.  

Kim Kardashian wore a custom SCHIPARELLI pearl embellished halter dress with a dramatic cape. She always wears something that we have seen her in before. 

Michaela Cole stunned wearing head to toe SCHIAPARELLI. However, since she is one of the co-chairs, I am surprised that she didn't wear a dress from a label designed by KL. She was beautiful but not on theme.

Jennifer Lopez showed out in a custom RALPH LAUREN two-tone, cutout halter gown with a draped, train panel in the back. That top is risky but she looked amazing. 

Mindy Kaling looked beautiful in a SIMKHAI gown but it's not on theme. 

Elle Fanning was a pretty angel, paying homage to KL by wearing a custom VIVIENNE WESTWOOD bridal dress, with a black bolero. Her look channeled a bridal look that Karl did for one of his Chanel collection. Details HERE.

Tems really wasn't on theme but she looked gorgeous in this ROBERT WUN COUTUE gown with a statement headpiece and gloves. 

Ashley Graham didn't come to play because she delivered a wow moment courtesy of HARRIS REED. From her beauty look and statement gown, she looked flawless. 

Karlie Kloss debut her baby bump, wearing a classic look that pays homage to KL courtesy of LOEWE. However, I would swap out those pointy-toe, bow pumps for an open-toe heel. 

Yung Miami wore a custom ACT N1 and it's both dramatic and sexy. 

Chloe Fineman's custom WIEDERHOEFT FALL 2023 dress paid homage to KL via the floral detailing around the neckline and the fingerless opera gloves. She looked lovely and her look was topped off with a cute kitten bag and ROGER VIVIER pumps. 

Camila Morrone wore a tow-tone gown from the RODARTE FALL 2023 COLLECTION. A ponytail with a ribbon bow along with wrist, fingerless gloves would have made this better. 

Ice Spice made debut wearing a custom BALMAIN sheer panel dress but it doesn't touch on the theme.

Cara Delevigne wore a custom KARL LAGERFELD look and she always gets it right. I love this.
