30th Screen Actors Guild Awards

On Saturday(February 24th) the 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards was held at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in LA.

Ayo Edebiri walked away a winner wearing a LUAR FALL 2023 black & white plaid dress. I like how the dress was draped off-the-shoulder on Ayo versus being worn as a hood. Even though I am not a fan of the fabric, she really worn this well. 

Carey Mulligan looked stunning in a custom ARMANI PRIVE SPRING 2024 COUTURE strapless gown which was accessorized with FRED LEIGHTON & KWIAT jewelry. I wish she did something a bit edgier make-up wise though.

Lily Gladstone wore a ARMANI PRIVE red fringe, halter dress. I love the vibrant hue and this looked so great in motion. I just wish that beaded panel wasn't added to the neckline. 

Jessica Chastain wore a black lace embroidered ARMANI PRIVE COUTURE gown which was lined for coverage. Her look was dressed up with DE BEERS jewelry. Although this is not a bad look, I have seen better from Jessica. 

Elizabeth Debicki wore a custom ARMANI PRIVE SPRING 2024 COUTURE dress with CHRISTIAN DIOR jewelry and AQUAZZURA heels. I wish the hair was styled better, but she still looked so pretty. It's kinda reminding me of Elsa from ''Frozen''. 

Danielle Brooks wore a custom CHRISTIAN SIRIANO SPRING 2024 black & purple tuxedo, tulle gown. I get the idea, but I just feel like the execution doesn't work. The gown looks confusing and unfinished. 

Phylicia Pearm also wore a look by CHRISTIAN SIRIANO. Her SPRING 2024 two-piece ensemble was accessorized with NICOLE ROSE earrings. The top doesn't look great and the skirt looks like it's swallowing her. 

Ciara utilized the split on her custom VENUS PROTOTYPEX latex dress in brown. I like this on her, but not for this occasion. Also, I would swap out the LOUBOUTIN pumps for an ankle strap sandal.

Jumo Temple wore a GIVENCHY SPRING 2024 black draped, halter dress with an EFFY ring. I'm sold on the big curls, but I wish that she didn't wear such heavy heels. 

Joey King wore a GIVENCHY SPRING 2024 black & nude printed, layered dress with sheer black opera gloves. I actually like this, but I wish her hair, was sleeker and off-the-shoulder and I would probably remove the necklace. 

Kathrine Hahn also wore a dress from the GIVENCHY SPRING 2024 collection and I don't think this looks great at all. 

Greta Lee showed off her décolletage in an embroidered off-the-shoulder dress and leather opera gloves from THE ROW FALL 2023 collection. I'm not crazy about the gloves and she probably should have added some jewelry and a different hairstyle. 

Hannah Waddingham wore a TONY WARD SPRING 2024 COUTURE gown with NORMAN SILVERMAN jewelry. The color is not working and I feel like she needed some jewelry and a slick, behind-the-ear hairstyle. 

Penelope Cruz wore custom CHANEL SPRING 2024 COUTURE off-the-shoulder gown. Thankfully she didn't wear the runway's color way. The head styling looked great but I'm not loving the gown.  

Bel Powley is usually a hit or miss with CHANEL, but I'm feeling this FALL 2022 COUTURE printed strapless, tulle number on her. It's not the best shape wise but it looks better on her than it did on the runway. Also, I don't like her shoe choice. 

Meryl Streep wore a PRADA SPRING 2024 burgundy and silver embellished silk-chiffon dress which was layered for coverage. This was a great look, but I wish the lining was burgundy. FRED LEIGHTON jewelry finished up her look.

Margot Robbie wore a custom look by SCHIAPARELLI. Her black strapless mini dress was adorned with a contrasting pink structured panel, that draped into a side train. The pink piece was definitely an ode to Barbie, but I don't like the fabric. Maybe if it was in tulle, so that it looked less stiff and more flowing. Also, I feel like she needed an up-do and better jewelry. TIFFANY & CO jewelry and MANOLO BLAHNIK pumps finished up her look. 

Emily Blunt looked beautiful wearing a red halter dress by LOUIS VUITTON. Given all of the hard to wear design that usually comes from the fashion house, this is very subdued. TIFFANY & CO jewelry finished up her look. 

Emma Stone chose a much better LOUIS VUITTON dress on this round, but I feel like her look still comes off as boring. 

Selena Gomez wore  a white sequin gown by VERSACE, and I really think that she needs to find a stylist that can really elevate her style. This calls for some jewelry and a colored lip was needed. 

Brie Larson showed off her toned abs in a VERSACE knot detail crop top and silk-faille skirt. I'm not 100% sold on the color for her, but she looked good. 

Anne Hathaway was also in ATELIER VERSACE and I love this cobalt blue hue which is from the SPRING 2015 COUTURE collection. However, the proportions is all off here and that belt doesn't look good on her. 

Tracee Ellis Ross wore a BALMAIN SPRING 2024 ensemble and she looked great. However, it's not as edgy and fun as most of her looks are. 

Storm Reid also wore a custom look from the BALMAIN SPRING 2024 collection. I like this on her, but I think an open-toe heel would have been better over those pumps.

America Ferrera looked pretty in a black strapless CHRISTIAN DIOR SPRING 2018 COUTURE gown which was belted at the waist. If this looks familiar, that's because Jennifer Lawrence wore it to the 2018 BAFTA's. DE BEERS jewelry finished up her look. 

Naomi Watts wore a CHRISTIAN DIOR SPRING 2023 COUTURE dress which was accessorized with FRED LEIGHTON jewelry and a TYLER ELLIS clutch. I wish the top underlining was black and the lining for the skirt hit the hem. 

Rachel Brosnahan looked beautiful in a TAMARA RALPH FALL 2023 COUTURE black & gold pleated metallic, tier gown with CARTIER jewelry. 

Reese Witherspoon kept it simple in a red strapless ELIE SAAB SPRING 2024 COUTURE faux wrap dress. This is nothing new or fresh from Reese, but the color does look great on her. However, this look calls for some heavy jewelry. 

Cara Jade Meyers chose an Indigenous designer, wearing the JONTAY KAHM ''Sudden'' dress with JIMMY CHOO heels. I can't say that I am a fan of this dress, but I get the homage and it's such a fun piece. 

Nicole Beharie wore a GRETA CONSTANTINE SPRING 2024 red strapless column gown with a pink taffeta off the shoulder, exaggerated ruffle sleeve cape with CASADEI heels. The cape adds drama but I feel like she needed jewelry.

Karen Pittman looked pretty wearing a RICHARD QUINN FALL 2024 black off-the-shoulder velvet gown with BRIONY RAYMOND jewelry. Love the fit but I wish that she kept the head piece. 

Sheryl Lee Ralph looked gorgeous wearing a WAAD ALOQAILI PRE-FALL 2022 black strapless gown. She just needed a necklace. 

Quinta Brunson wore a SAINT LAURENT black strapless, u-neckline dress and she looked gorgeous. The YVAN TUFENKJAN jewelry complimented her look perfectly which was topped off with SOPHIA WEBSTER sandals.  

Ali Wong wore a dramatic IRIS VAN HERPEN FALL 2023 COUTURE creation which I love. However, it's the perfect piece but on the wrong person. She doesn't have the edge to pull this off. 

Abby Elliott wore a black embellished ZUHAIR MURAD SPRING 2024 dress with a TYLER ELLIS clutch. It's a simple, but pretty look. 

Geena Davis wore a PAMELLA ROLAND SPRING 2024 purple one-shoulder embellished dress with MARTIN KATZ jewelry. An off-the-shoulder hairstyle and an open-toe heel would have finished her look off in a better direction. 

Melissa McCarthy made a shiny entrance wearing a custom PUEY QUINONES metallic dress with DENA KEMP jewelry. The sleeves hurts her look. 

Jennifer Aniston style has never changed and at this point, I don't expect it to. She wore a silver embellished dress by CELINE. Very boring. 

Rebecca Hall wore a strapless embellished dress by GABRIELA HEARST which was accessorized with REZA jewelry. I don't like neckline opening, but this wasn't a bad look.  

Da'vine Joy Randolph walked away a winner wearing a custom VALDRIN SAHITI off-the-shoulder gown and she looked gorgeous. 

Halle Bailey worked her frame perfectly in a DOLCE & GABBANA strapless, burgundy mermaid gown. 

Billie Eilish wore a VIVIENNE WESTWOOD ensemble. I don't like the bottom half, and although most probably won't like this overall, it suits her. 

Ariana Greenblatt wore a custom VERA WANG velvet strapless gown which was accessorized with SIMON G jewelry. I would have liked to see her wearing a choker with this gown. 

Leighton Meester wore a custom  brown ST. JOHN dress. This calls for jewelry and I don't like the placement of the straps. 

Issa Rae wore a custom dress by OFF-WHITE white was accessorized with SUZANNE KALAN jewelry. She looked gorgeous, but the top looks poorly done for this to be custom. 

Taraji P. Henson wore a GIAMBATTISTA VALLI COUTURE black strapless, exaggerated bow train gown which was accessorized with BULGARI jewelry. It's dramatic and she looked gorgeous. 

Laverne Cox hosted the red carpet wearing a ALEXANDER MCQUEEN FALL 1996 jacket with a sheer black top and a black velvet maxi skirt underneath. 

Maddie Ziegler also dipped into the ALEXANDER MCQUEEN archives for this SPRING 2003 creation which is the sister dress to the famous ''Oyster dress''. I'm not crazy about the shoe choice, but this is working on her. 

Auli’i Cravalho wore a ALEXANDER MCQUEEN PRE-FALL 2011 red silk-chiffon, halter dress with a gold embellished neckline and a nipped waist. 

Zoe Winters wore a BIBHU MOHAPATRA RESORT 2024 color-block dress. I feel like she doesn't have the height for this and I dislike her shoe choice.
