Look 1 - Monday(September 7th):
For her arrival at the Hotel Excelsior pier, she went the polished but laid back route. She wore a black blazer with a playful pink stripe long sleeve top underneath. The stripes instantly broke-up the dark blazer with a welcoming pop of color. To top off her look, she wore medium wash denim for a grounded, and effortless finish.
Look 2 - Tuesday(September 8th):
For the ''A Common Story'' photocall, she embraced the ''wrong shoe'' theory with this color-block dress that she wore. Her strapless dress featured a green top and a pleated navy skirt. She opted to swap her bare legs for white socks paired with black pumps. The look immediately shifts from the evening standard to high-fashion streetwear. I get the idea behind it, but I am not sold on the execution. I just don't think Alba is edgy enough to rock a look like this and I am not loving the black pumps with it.
Look 3 - Tuesday(September 8th):
For the 'A Story' screening, she opted for a bold, yet sophisticated red dress in a classic silhouette. I like the color on her, but I do have some quibbles. Something about the placement of the straps is off to me. Also, she could have benefited from a belt and I would swap out the black pumps for metallic.
Look 4 - Wednesday(September 9th):
For a 'A Good Little Soldier' premiere, she opted for a look that was equal parts modern and timeless: a crisp white three-quarter sleeve top paired with a black floor-length skirt. The cutout detail on the waist adds subtle drama to this classic ensemble. Although, I'm not loving all the creases on the top.
