Celebs in Prada at the 32nd Actor Awards

On Sunday(March 1st) some celebs stepped out in PRADA for the 32nd annual Actor Awards which was presented by SAG-AFTRA and held at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall on in LA.

Michelle Williams wore a pink embellished dress and to avoid a washout, a red lip added a nice color balance to her look. It's a little long at the hem, but she still looked pretty. 

Michelle Monaghan wore a two-tone gown which was accessorized with SABYASACHI jewelry.  It's rare that I really like a gown from the fashion house, but she looked gorgeous.

On Saturday(February 28th) some celebs hit the carpet for the 37th annual Producers Guild Awards which was held at the Fairmont Century Plaza in LA.

Elle Fanning wore a ELIE SAAB black strapless pleated gown. Her gown was accessorized with CARTIER jewelry and BRIAN ATWOOD heels. However, even though this is pretty, I would have liked to see her wearing more of a statement necklace.

Wagner Moura wore a VALENTINO suit which had some fit issues. Generally speaking, I liked his look.

Claire Danes made her way to the red carper on Wednesday(November 5th) the Netflix special screening of ''The Beast In Me'' which was held at The Paris Theaterin New York City. 

It's been a while since I have seen any of NARCISO RODRIGUEZ pieces on the carpet, but Claire brought it back with a custom look. Her red v-neck dress featured a short train in the back.

Making a rare outing for the final season of her popular TV show, Claire Danes attended the New York premiere of Showtime`s Homeland yesterday evening(February 4th) at the MOMA.

Done in a romantic asymmetrical silhouette, she wore the ERDEM 'Doriana' leopard print gown with an single blouson sleeve and a two-tier ruffle hem. The pink sash was key to making this piece standout. 

It provided a charming pop of color. The fit of the top is off but I still like the look. A side parted medium cut and statement jewelry put the finishing touches on her look.

2018 MET Gala Wrap-up

Last night(May 7th) the 2018 MET Gala, Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination on Sunday(May 7th) took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. I have to say, this is the first time that the majority of the celebs dressed for the gala's theme, the best gala in a long time. Amber Heard who also hosted a Syrian gala this weekend, wore a bold regal red gown of silk georgette, with hundreds and hundreds of covered buttons and a cutout & bustle detail back. Adding a head piece to her look to incorporate the theme, she finished up with a red lip color.

Cardi B worked her baby bump in a custom cream wool long-sleeve dress encrusted with pearls, crystals and gems inspired by tapestries and embroideries from ecclesiastic vestments from MOSCHINO BY JEREMY SCOTT. She paired the intricate look with a cream, silk Duchesse belted overskirt and a custom jeweled headpiece.

Bella Hadid took on the theme in a sinister, dark glamour way, wearing a custom CHROME HEARTS X GARETH PUGH glossy latex corset gown which as paired with a sculptural cape. She also accessorized with fingerless gloves and a high up-do which topped off her look.

Monse is known for interesting designs and for me, this is on tune for the theme of the night. I just don't think Claire has the edgy appeal for this look. Dramatic smokey eyes and a complimentary up-do finished up her look. Claire won the night at the 2016 gala so how does this look fair for you?

Claire Danes wore a black strapless MONSE velvet ankle length dress with a contrasting white neckline. I like the dress but I wish it was a midi length because I don't think it works on her especially with those LOUBOUTIN sandals. TIFFANY & CO jewelry, red lips and side parted tresses finished up her look. 

Jennifer Hudson stood out because she was wearing the DSQUARED2 SPRING 2017 'Colby' yellow ruffled one-shoulder mini dress with a slit detail. JHud was also wearing the designers black silk charm toe ankle strap pumps. The dress looks a little tight on her and I still feel she is struggling style wise but this is not a bad look. TIFFANY & CO jewelry and a complimentary beauty look finished up her look. 

Doutzen Kroes ditched wearing a dress for a CELINE RESORT 2017 two-piece aqua suit which she styled with white shoes. I feel like I am the only one that likes a nice hemmed pant and while I know the un-hemmed look is on trend, it doesn't work for me personally. The hem is my only issue with Doutzen's look, other than that she looked great.

Claire Danes has been spotted out in New York filming the new season of her hit show 'Homeland' but yesterday(October 6th) she stepped out for the 2016 PaleyFest: Made in New York Opening Night: Homeland event. 

On tune with the red carpet, she wore a sleeveless red NARCISO RODRIGUEZ v-neck calf length dress with ruched side details. The dress is cute but simple. 

However I think with better styling she could have made this a more interesting look. Also I wish took a brush/comb to her hair right before you hit the carpet for her pictures. EVA FEHREN jewelry, a gold clutch and FRANCESCO RUSSO gold sandals finished up her look.

Claire Danes wore a DOLCE &GABBANA sleeveless gunmetal floral brocade dress styled simply with black cut-out ankle strap pumps. Adding some life to her look, a vibrant pink lip was added to her beauty look. 

Cynthia Addai-Robinson of Arrow & Chicago Med wore a MAX MARA mixed media dress which featured a sleeveless champagne beaded top and a copper skirt. This is a cute, sophisticated look but I wish she wore a more interesting pair of heels. 

Maria Bello was the only one who was in spring mode wearing a sleeveless pink, red & white MAX MARA floral pleated dress styled with pink patent pumps.  

Lake Bell wore a VIONNET PRE-FALL 2016 short sleeve two-tone knit layered cocktail dress with a pleated & sheer net skirt. On this occasion, I find that her black pumps which are CASADEI worked with this dress. I just wish she gave us something make-up & hair wise. A ponytail and a black clutch topped off her look.
