Ciara, Ashanti & La La at the VH1 2019 'Dear Mama: A Love Letter To Mom' Gala

Following her attendance at the Billboard awards, Ciara and more attended the VH1 2019 'Dear Mama: A Love Letter To Mom' at the Ace Hotel last night(May 2nd) in LA.

Ciara turned to STEPHANE ROLLAND for the second time in a row, wearing a look from the designer's SPRING 2018 COUTURE collection. Her shorts jumpsuit featured a dramatic white one-shoulder asymmetrical ruffle top that flowed into a train and satin champagne, fold detail shorts. I like the drama and idea of the is look but unfortunately on Ciara and the model, the shorts are very unflattering. A simple, tailored style would have been ideal.

Brie Larson who was also at the Avengers premiere, wore a custom PRADA green strapless gown, featuring a cinched waist and pockets which she utilized. I am not a fan of the top and there is just a little too much fabric at the hem. However I love the color.

Following her attendance at Arise Fashion Week, Naomi Campbell hit the red carpet for the 2019 Time 100 Gala yesterday evening(April 23rd) at the Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York. 

She shined her way onto the carpet wearing a VALENTINO FALL 2018 COUTURE gold sequin floor sweeping dress, featuring a scarf neckline and side pockets. 

This dress may not be easy on the eyes and it's not for everyone but Naomi sells it. However I would swap out the pointy toe pumps for sandals. What do you think of Naomi's golden look?

Taylor Swift who was an honoree, did not disappoint wearing a strapless peach & yellow hand pleated silk gown, featuring an floral embroidered bodice. I like the addition of the detachable, billowy bolero because it adds somewhat of a playful detail to the feminine gown. However the color story is not the best but she sells it. LORRAINE SCHWARTZ jewelry, CHOLE GOSSELIN sandals and a up-do which was adorned with a flower headband finished up her look.

Dwayne The Rock Johnson in Ralph Lauren at the 2019 Time 100 Gala

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has definitely stepped up his style lately, that's because he started working with a great menswear stylist Ilaria Urbinati. He was honored yesterday evening(April 23rd) at the 2019 Time 100 Gala at the Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York. 

For the occasion, he stepped out in a RALPH LAUREN FALL 2019 camel velvet, double breasted suit, with a nude turtleneck underneath. Now we maybe in spring but when living in NY, the weather doesn't always corporate with the season. 

Given the slightly windy and cool temperatures last night, his look worked for the season and occasion. His suit was styled perfectly with matching CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN loafers. What do you think of The Rock's look?

Julianne Moore joined Givenchy creative director Clare Waight-Keller on the red carpet yesterday evening(April 23rd) at the 2019 Time 100 Gala  at the Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York. Both ladies were naturally wearing GIVENCHY, from the SPRING 2019 COUTURE collection.

Clare Waight-Keller who was an honoree, wore a black embellished, padded shoulder top and black layered skirt, trousers. If I had to change anything here, it would be the black pumps. Sandals would have elevated her look.

Julianne Moore worked a playful, masculine inspired look which featured a white feather beaded crop top and black high-waisted trousers. The simplistic beauty was a nice compliment to her look, which she nailed.

Emilia Clarke was an honoree at the 2019 Time 100 Gala which took place yesterday evening(April 23rd) at the Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York. 

I was almost sure that Emilia was wearing Dior but she is actually wearing a DOLCE & GABBANA FALL 2019 red tulle tea length dress, featuring a semi-sheer bustier top and a satin waistband. This dress has become a familiar staple for both fashion houses. 

Although we have seen this dress on the red carpet on numerous occasions, the color delivers impact which makes her standout. I do however favor the runway's length but Emilia sells it as well. A matching lip & pumps and straight behind-the-ear tresses finished up her look.

Sandra Oh in Oscar de la Renta at the 2019 Time 100 Gala

On hand as a honoree, Sandra Oh attended the 2019 Time 100 Gala yesterday evening(April 23rd) at the Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York. 

Sandra's OSCAR DE LA RENTA PRE-FALL 2019 black one-shoulder, feather embellished dress, was the perfect choice for the 'Killing Eve' actress. The feather embellished strap was definitely needed to keep this dress from being boring.

However I would change those GINA black platform sandals, for a simpler style but thankfully they aren't noticeable. A complimentary up-do and a black embellished JIMMY CHOO clutch topped off her look.
