22nd Costume Designers Guild Awards

Following her attendance at the Oscars luncheon, Charlize Theron and more attended the 22nd Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards yesterday evening(January 28th) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in LA.

Mindy Kaling looked beautiful wearing a custom SALVADOR PEREZ velvet embellished v-neck gown with an silk-chiffon panel and split. However the neckline is off and I would swap out the pumps for silver metallic, ankle strap sandals.

Charlize Theron sparkled beautifully in a custom LOUIS VUITTON gold embellished, key-hole dress which was belted at the waist, with the matching headband. I like the idea of this dress with the exception of the contrasting black panel on the arms.

Adam Scott wore a ISAIA FALL 2019 suit which he accessorized with an IWC watch, MONTBLANC cufflinks and JIMMY CHOO shoes.

Djimon Hounsou looked great in the white and black, shawl collar tuxedo which was topped off with dark sunglasses and shiny dress shoes.

Kathryn Newton worked a colorful PRABAL GURUNG PRE-FALL 2020 dress with side pockets which she utilized. Just like Charlize, Kathryn accessorized her look with an coordinating embellished headband. The colored lip is a bit too much here but I like the dress.

Constance Wu wore a black crepe and silver embellished, one-shoulder jacket dress, which was cinched at the waist. I have two call-outs here, the weird over-sized cuffs and the focus pulling shoes.

Catherine O'Hara always delivers and she looked great in the same CHRISTIAN SIRIANO FALL 2019 suit that we already saw on Liv Hewson. However I wish that she carried a small clutch because this TYLER ELLIS piece is a tad big for this suit.

Nathalie Emmanuel served up a little leg action wearing a DAVID KOMA FALL 2019 black slit detail dress with a sheer embroidered, butterfly bodice and leg-o-mutton sleeves. I like this sexy dress but the sleeves are just a tad long on her and I would have loved to see her in a different heel like the Christian Louboutin 'SpikaQueen'.

Jennifer Beals went the vintage route, wearing a ZANDRA RHODES 1979 dress from SHRIMPTON COUTURE. A TYLER ELLIS clutch and LORIBLU sandals finished up her look.

Julia Butters looked cute wearing a pink ombre RED VALENTINO dress. However I think she dress needed to be shorten at the hem and I would ditch the bag.
