2020 amfAR NYFW Gala

Tonight(February 5th) in New York, the 2020 amfAR Gala as part of NYFW took place at Cipriani Wall Street.

Heidi Klum led the way in a strapless STEPHANE ROLLAND FALL 2019 COUTURE duchess satin, draped balloon dress. This is definitely out of her style zone because she usually gravitates towards sexy, tight dresses. I like that she is trying something different but the shape and fabric and is not working for me. STELLA LUNA sandals and a coordinating bag finished up her look.

Duckie Thot wore a NAEEM KHAN PRE-FALL 2019 leopard and leaf strapless gown that looked amazing against her beautiful dark skin.

Anna Wintour wore a custom dress from the LOUIS VUITTON SPRING 2020 collection. The dress was shown in a mini version on the runway but the longer version was perfect for the Vogue EIC.

Coco Rocha wore an JEAN PAUL GAULTIER SPRING 2020 COUTURE pink ruffle catsuit and platform sandals which she wore on the runway during the show. I am not feeling this at all, especially the color on her.

Devon Windsor wore a AADNEVIK SPRING 2020 green feather and sheer tulle halter dress with a thigh-high split. We have seen this dress from the fashion house in different variations but it works for her.

Ebonee Davis worked the split on her DUNDAS SPRING 2019 COUTURE dress which we already saw on Marisa Tomei. If I had to change anything here, it would be those sandals for a metallic stiletto.

Cindy Bruna worked a long white caviar crepe dress with sculpture in white gazar embroidered with crystals from the STEPHANE ROLLAND SPRING 2020 COUTURE collection.

Sydney Sweeney wore a OSCAR DE LA RENTA SPRING 2020 white strapless gown which hits the bridal border. However my main issues here are the fit on the bust which was ill-fitting on the model as well and the fabric.

Lais Riberio also wore a gown that hit the bridal border but she looked pretty in this custom GALIA LAHAV gown and SAM EDELMAN sandals.

La La sparkled in a black crystal embellished SOL ANGELANN, split detail dress but this dress is giving me deja vu.

Victoria Justice came through sparkling in a HAMEL silver one-shoulder, chain mail cocktail dress which she accessorized with an EDIE PARKER clutch. I just wish the hair was completely off-the-shoulders but she looks pretty.
