2020 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Following the Oscars show, the 2020 Vanity Fair Oscar Party took place at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the in Beverly Hills, CA. You can see all of the Oscars red carpet looks HERE.

Gabrielle Union wore a GIAMBATTISTA VALLI SPRING 2020 COUTURE dress which she accessorized with LORRAINE SCHWARTZ jewelry and JIMMY CHOO sandals. I applaud her for taking a risk by wearing this because it is very unflattering. Her beauty look is flawless though.

Olivia Wilde wore FENDI FALL 2019 COUTURE for the second time in a row and she did look great. However Zoey Deutch nailed it in yellow which makes this black version forgettable.

Elizabeth Banks re-wore her BADGLEY MISCHKA FALL 2004 red silk-chiffon gown in support of RAD. You can see how she looked when she first wore it HERE. I am actually glad that she wore it in red because it stands out more than the runway's hue.

Catherine O'Hara continues to slay on the carpet. She looked great in this JEFFREY DODD FALL 2018 colorful sequin dress which she accessorized with an EDIE PARKER clutch.

Ella Balinska looked great in a SCHIAPARELLI SPRING 2020 COUTURE bustier column dress in electric blue, with stripes bugle beads. My only quibble about her look is the ill-fitting top and those black pumps. Silver metallic sandals would have been a better choice.

Janet Mock beautifully struck a pose in a OSCAR DE LA RENTA PRE-FALL 2020 strapless navy white embroidered high-low hem gown, which she teamed with JIMMY CHOO sandals.

Joan Smalls wore a SCHIAPARELLI FALL 2019 COUTURE blue & turquoise gathered volume dress with a moiré strip center seam and a overdyed silk faille with a crystal embroidered bustier. I am not a fan of this at all.

Kathryn Hahn wore a red ROSIE ASSOULIN PRE-FALL 2020 ruffle panel, silk-faille dress which she accessorized with an red clutch and GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI sandals. The clutch does not work here.

Megalyn Echikunwoke was beautiful in HAMEL white high-neck, fringe cutout gown, which she accessorized with a selection of statement jewelry.

Tracee Ellis Ross served up some cleavage action in a ZUHAIR MURAD SPRING 2020 COUTURE gold embellished cape gown, which was belted at the waist, with a center front split.

Chrissy Teigen worked the split on her GEORGES HOBEIKA SPRING 2020 COUTURE mini silk-chiffon, braided cutout cape gown, with a bow waist sash. The fit is off and I wish she kept the matching briefs. A matching clutch and GISUEPPE ZANOTTI sandals finished up her look.

Mindy Kaling ditched her Dolce & Gabbana dress for this custom REEM ACRA gown and once again, she chose the perfect hue.

Rashida Jones wore a black ROLAND MOURET gown and while this is not a wow moment, it is easily one of her best.

Kim Kardashian dipped into the ALEXANDER MCQUEEN archives for this SPRING 2003 one-shoulder organza gown.

Kanye West posed behind her wearing a DUNHILL leather suit.

Kerry Washington showed just a hint of midriff in a ZUHAIR MURAD SPRING 2020 COUTURE gold sequin embellished crop top and ankle length skirt. Grecian or Egyptian seemed to be the trend but whatever the case, I really like this.

Sarah Paulson stepped out in a custom ANDREW GN PRE-FALL 2020 black sequin, collared dress with feather cuffs. In the look book, the dress was shown in a different color-way and length but Sarah's custom piece suited her.

Kate Bosworth was elegantly beautiful in a RALPH & RUSSO SPRING 2019 COUTURE silver embellished gown with a black bow on the shoulders that flowed into a train.

Charlize Theron slipped into another CHRISTIAN DIOR piece, this time from the SPRING 2020 COUTURE collection. Her tier fringe dress definitely has better impact in motion.

Sofia Vergara worked her curves in a DOLCE & GABBANA black and silver embellished halter gown. The silhouette is something that we see her in all of the time.

Rachel Brosnahan also wore a dress by DOLCE & GABBANA and her sheer black & silver embellished piece was layered at the top for coverage. This is just okay for me.

Sophia Bush suited up in SCHIAPARELLI SPRING 2020 COUTURE but I am not feeling it on her. From the proportions and fit, this is not working.

Madelaine Petsch worked the split on her ELIE SAAB FALL 2019 COUTURE green velvet embellished halter gown with a plunging neckline.

Georgie Flores stood out thanks to colors of her GEORGES HOBEIKA SPRING 2020 COUTURE dress which I really like. I am on the fence about the shoes and I am missing the belt but she looked great in this dress.

Lili Reinhart wore a MARC JACOBS SPRING 2020 white floral tulle gown and she looked beautiful in it.

Kate Hudson wore a VIVIENNE WESTWOOD COUTURE yellow & light blue floral jacquard dress with a plunging sweetheart neckline and a grand train. The fit of the top looks a little off but I like the dress in general.

Natalie Dormer worked her frame in VIVIENNE WESTWOOD as well, which featured a fluted dress in a black and gold floral jacquard.

Freida Pinto clearly was feeling herself in this GALIA LAHAV green velvet gown and she didn't hesitate when it came down to working that split.

Lena Waithe suited up in her go to designer brand RICH FRESH and she looked great.

Ava DuVernay wore a GALIA LAHAV custom gown that looks like all of the gowns that she have worn, except a different color & fabric.

Tessa Thompson utilized the split on her ATELIER VERSACE lamé draped dress, embellished with hand-crafted micro pleats the bodice enriched with heritage Bondage belts. This definitely has the fashion house signature touches but she looks so good.

Cynthia Erivo rocked ATELIER VERSACE again and it had the same tone as her first gown. However this color-way looks fabulous on her.

Regina King ditched her beautiful Versace gown for a dusty blue silk georgette, crystal & sequin embellished gown ⁣ by PRADA. This doesn't excite like her awards show look but she looks good and it works for the occasion.

Hailee Steinfeld also stepped out in a PRADA dress and her custom piece featured a crystal jeweled net dress overlay and a ivory silk satin slip-dress underlay.

Riley Keough wore graphic LOUIS VUITTON v-neck, pleated dress which was belted at the waist. This is oddly cute.

Florence Pugh stepped out in another LOUIS VUITTON dress and I think she should have worn this to the awards show and the awards show dress here. This way better.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw also wore a custom piece by LOUIS VUITTON. The dress is cute but it doesn't feel suited for this party.

Ciara cradled her baby bump wearing a see-through RALPH & RUSSO one-shoulder shimmery dress with a strapless corset bodysuit underneath. She is beautiful but this look isn't working for me.

Scarlett Johansson stepped out in another OSCAR DE LA RENTA gown which had Grecian vibe to it. I actually like this more than the first one.

Gal Gadot ditched her Givenchy Couture number for a black sequin SAINT LAURENT tuxedo, back split dress, with a plunging neckline. Just like Florence Pugh(see above) she should have worn her party look to the awards show. With the right necklace, this would have been perfect.

Sandra Oh ditched her Elie Saab gown for this CONG TRI sequin feather gown. I don't like this at all. The fit is too loose and the feather detail doesn't add anything to it.

Eiza Gonzalez kept it simple in a GALVAN hight-neck, halter gown. The color is the star here.

Christina Ricci wore a custom GHERADO FELLONI for ROGER VIVIER which is the first dress ever made by the designer. I like the idea of this dress but I am not feeling the cuffs.

Alessandra Ambrosio wore a GIORGIO ARMANI PRIVE a vibrant pink silk satin, sweetheart neckline gown with a black satin bow at the back that leads into a dramatic train. What's surprising is that she is not half-naked as always and I am not saying that it's a bad thing but it is her signature.

Lucy Boynton ditched her Chanel dress for a MIU MIU soft multicolor tulle gown, embellished with a little twist detail on one shoulder.

Leslie Mann wore a MONIQUE LHUILLIER SPRING 2020 iridescent holographic sequins gowns. If the color of the gown looks familiar, that's because Olivia Munn wore it in a different silhouette.

Rowan Blanchard wore a draped IRIS VAN HERPEN dress with a sheer illusion neckline. I like this but I wish that split neckline was closed.

Reese Witherspoon didn't switch up her style at all, wearing a DOLCE & GABBANA dress in a silhouette that she wears on a regular basis. I just don't like the shimmery silver straps or panels.

Joey King struck a pose in a THREE AS FOUR SPRING 2020 brown laser cut fig leaf dress which she accessorized with an L'AFSHAR clutch and CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN pumps.

Marisa Tomei wore a GEORGES HOBEIKA SPRIGN 2020 gold three-quarter sleeve embellished crop top and a aqua embellished organza skirt. I don't know if she is wearing the top backwards or left the top was re-worked but I am glad that the v-neck is gone. However this is more suited for someone on the taller side and I would switch those bridal pink pumps for gold.

Caitriona Balfe looked great in this PRABAL GURUNG PRE-FALL 2020 red strapless, bow neck dress which she dressed up with NIWAKA jewelry.

Sofia Boutella wore a VALENTINO PRE-FALL 2020 see-through beaded tulle gown. I think she should have gone with nude or a matching hue brief over the black.

Amandla Stenberg wore a electric blue BALMAIN SPRING 2020 draped pleated dress with a sheer illusion neckline. I can't say that I like this but I do like the color and her beauty look is flawless.

Heidi Klum wore a GEORGES HOBEIKA SPRING 2020 COUTURE which I love on the runway and dislike on Heidi. The fit is bad and on my dear, who did that to her hair.

Hunter King was also one of the many celebs that GEORGES HOBEIKA. She worked a flirty turqouise dress from the SPRING 2020 collection which she accessorized with an MISAHARA ring, a purple EDIE PARKER clutch and custom purple STUART WEITZMAN sandals. Although ankle strap sandals would have been ideal, I love the purple accessories with this dress.
