35th Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards

Following their appearances at the NY Film Critics Circle awards, Lily Gladstone, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Cara Jade Meyers and more attended the 35th Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards which was held at the Palm Springs Convention Center on Thursday(January 4th) in Palm Springs, California. 

Margot Robbie wore a BALMAIN SPRING 2024 pink & black dotted, rosette mini dress with the coordinating mules. There is no denying that this look is an ode to Barbie and she is making it work. However, an up-do would have been better. 

Carey Mulligan also wore a BALMAIN SPRING 2024 dress but the top half of her piece was shown with biker like shorts on the runway. The skirt was a better choice, but the styling doesn't work for me. The pearls don't work here and she needed an open-toe heel to compliment the length of her skirt. Also, the proportions are off, but I just don't think she is edgy enough to sell the top half. 

Robert Downey Jr. posed with Cillian Murphy wearing a pink STELLA MCCARTNEY suit with NIKE sneakers. The pants really needed to be hemmed. Cillian wore a ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA tuxedo and he looked simply great. 

Colman Domingo also wore ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA and I love this color on him but it's unfortunate on how those pants fit on him. It needed to be hemmed & steamed badly. 

America Ferrera utilized the split on her LELA ROSE RESORT 2024 black dress. She looked great and the brooch is what keeps the dress interesting. However, I would swap out the pumps for an open-toe heel. 

Billie Eilish wore a PURGATORY coat with a lot of other things. This look is not my cup of tea but it's right up her style alley. 

Cara Jade Meyers wore a green one-shoulder jumpsuit from the BRANDON MAXWELL FALL 2017 collection. The necklace doesn't work for me and the pants needed to be hemmed. 

Da'Vine Joy Randolph was easily my favorite here. She looked stunning wearing a custom JOVANA LOUIS gown. I am excited to see more from her. 

Taraji P. Henson wore a ALEXANDRE VAUTHIER green crystal embellished dress. The color was a great choice but the neckline is too wide and a necklace was needed. 

Danielle Brooks wore a KOBI HALPERIN white sequin blazer & tuxedo trousers which was styled with VOYETTELEE pumps. She needed either another necklace or a necklace with a statement pendant. Also, I feel like a silver metallic pump was needed. 

Lenny Kravitz was on-hand as a presenter wearing a SAINT LAURENT black suit. That crystal embellished lapel was needed here, but on this occasion, a black boot was needed or loafers. 

Emma Stone wore a LOUIS VUITTON FALL 2023 black & white ensemble and I love the robe. The shirt is throwing the look off in my opinion. 

Eva Longoria wore a ASHI STUDIO FALL 2023 COUTURE ivory lace gown and I prefer it on the model. I think this would have sold better if it was lined. 

Greta Gerwig sparkled in a custom 16ARLINGTON black sequin, cocktail dress. I think if the draped skirt panel hit the floor, she shape would have worked better, but it was still a great look for her. 

Kirsten Dunst wore a black cutout gown from the VALENTINO SPRING 2024 collection. She looked pretty but this is so boring. 

Lily Gladstone wore a custom RODARTE SPRING 2024 green sequin, peplum dress. The fit is off and the peplum detail needed to be a few inches lower. 

Meryl Streep wore a BALENCIAGA FALL 2022 black draped dress and her yellow satin pumps helped to provide a pop of color. I feel like she needed gold bracelets on the other wrist and some statement gold earrings. 

Sandra Oh wore a vibrant red CAROLINA HERRERA PRE-FALL 2024 tie waist dress. She really needed a necklace here and a sleeker up-do.
