'Wicked' LA Premiere

On Saturday(November 9th) the premiere of Universal Pictures ''Wicked'' was held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on in LA.

Ariana Grande wore a custom look by THOM BROWNE. She looks like she is going to prom at Rydell High School. It looks like she is wearing sheer stockings with her glitter pumps, and both weren't a good choice.

Cynthia Erivo could not be missed wearing a green latex cutout dress with a fringe coat by LOUIS VUITTON. Love the jewelry and the green is definitely an ode to the film, but I am not a fan of the dress design.

The Business of Fashion BoF 500 Class of 2024 Gala took place during Paris Fashion Week S/S 2025 collections at the Shangri-La Hotel Paris on Saturday(September 28th) in Paris, France. 

Jared Leto VALENTINO RESORT 2025 and I am loving the coat which is the star here. The scarf is giving 'Pirated of the Caribbean', but it doesn't look bad on him.

Yesterday evening(September 12th) at the Barclays Center in New York, the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards took place and the celebs were back in full force on the red carpet. 

Kacey Musgraves who performed for the first time at the event, rocked a VALENTINO FALL 2021 COUTURE purple pleated mini dress, feather hat and red leather opera gloves. My only quibble are the shoes which don't really do anything to compliment this playful, edgy ensemble.

Last night(December 12th) the 2019 Billboard Women in Music event took place at the Hollywood Palladium in LA. 

Alicia Keys posed in a PRABAL GURUNG SPRING 2020 purple suit, with contrasting draped sleeves panels wrapped around her arms and a purple lace bra. The arm details look a bit silly, like she is wearing a coat or something that fell off her arms. Also the pants really needed to be hemmed but I kinda like this, especailly the color. CASADEI pumps and cornrows finished up her look.

Ashley Graham wore a black semi-sheer 16ARLINGTON bodysuit dress, with a playful feather hem. I am so happy for Ashley in a pregnancy but once again, I am not sold. If the bottom part was sheer, this would have worked.

Disney's 'The Lion King' LA Premiere Wrap-up

The red carpet was full of celebs for the premiere of Disney's 'The Lion King' at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California yesterday evening(July 9th). Beyonce, Tiffany Haddish, Zooey Deschanel and more were on hand for the occasion.

Florence Kasumba who also starred in Black Panther, sparkled beautifully in the JENNY PACKHAM PRE-FALL 2019 'Nemi' black and gold sequin embellished, v-neck gown.

Shahadi Wright wore a sleeveless MIU MIU embellished, v-neck gown, which I think would have been so much better on her in a knee length version. However she still looks pretty and I love her big hair.

Skai Jackson wore a CONG TRI FALL 2019 silver metallic dress, with ruffle sleeves. Skai is always serving looks and I love her flawless beauty look.

On Saturday(November 17th) the 2018 Soul Train Awards took place at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Erykah Badu who was on hand as a performer & honoree, wore an interesting piece courtesy of RICK OWENS. Her SPRING 2019 piece featured a geometric cutout cape & dress and metal headpiece. The only other person that can do this is Lady Gaga but Erykah owns it. 

Normani stepped out in a RAISA & VANESSA FALL 2018 black ruffle mini dress. This dress is really cute and short but the fit on the bust is unflattering.

Last night(October 23) Normani posed on the black carpet at the 4th Annual TIDAL X: Brooklyn concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The talented young singer could not be missed wearing a BALMAIN FALL 2018 neon green & black stripe mini dress, featuring a short v-neckline.

Normani's dress was shown in a different version on the runway. The dress is a Balmain signature, something that the fashion house loyal fans gravitate towards each season. Center part waves and black sandals capped off her look.
