2016 Academy Awards Wrap-up

The 2016 Academy Awards took place yesterday evening at the Hollywood & Highland Center in LA. To see all of the red carpet looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up.

Emily Blunt worked her baby bump in a pink embellished PRADA gown with an empire waistline. For her beauty look, she went with side parted waves and a smokey eye. Silver accessories completed her look. This gown feels familiar but she looks lovely.

Kate Winslet ditched her signature fitted dresses for a custom RALPH LAUREN black strapless shiny silk gown. While this doesn't excite, I am glad that she stepped a little out of her comfort zone.

Tina Fey wore simple but beautiful purple ATELIER VERSACE strapless which she dressed up with a purple stone statement necklace.

Olivia Munn wore a one-shoulder STELLA MCCARTNEY vibrant orange crepe column gown which she accessorized with FOREVERMARK jewelry. The color is what I like mostly about her look.

Jennifer Garner wore a custom ATELIER VERSACE gown as well. Her black one-shoulder gown featured a beaded paneled bodice & waist and a satin draped train side panel. I wouldn't have mind a small diamond necklace here but she looked great.

Rachel McAdams wore a emerald AUGUST GETTY ATELIER silk halter gown with a tie neck, open-back, a high split and train detail. This is not an exciting Oscars look and it sucks that she has all those creases on her dress. STUART WEITZMAN sandals, NIWAKA jewelry and a simple up-do completed her look.

Andra Day wore a yellow SAFIYAA one-shoulder dress with a split detail. The dress doesn't look flattering on the bust but I love her beauty look.

Jennifer Jason Leigh ditched her go to brand Rodarte for a custom MARCHESA pink strapless gown with petal accents. As I was going through her images, I was confused as to why she was posing like this in most of them.

Reese Witherspoon is never one to stray from her comfort style zone of strapless mermaid gowns. So seeing her in this custom OSCAR DE LA RENTA piece wasn't surprising. Love the purple and the contrasting pop of color via her lips but this look still feels familiar.

Isla Fisher wore a MARCHESA PRE-FALL 2016 off-the-shoulder embellished belted gown. Beauty wise she went with a wavy ponytail and a red lip. This just dosen't work for me.

Amy Poehler wore a ANDREW GN SPRING 2016 black floral butterfly beaded embroidered cape gown. Amy's gown hit the runway in a mint color which I think wouldn't have work for her but I'm not feeling the shape.

Margot Robbie wore a TOM FORD long sleeve gold snake embossed v-neck gown. Opting for a simplistic make-up look, she finished up with center part waves, FOREVERMARK and a black velvet fringe clutch.

Who was your best/worst dressed of the night?

Winner of the night : Charlize. 2nd Cate Blanchet and 3rd Juliane Moore.
All in all, quite disappointing event . Everybody played far too safe.
