30th Screen Actors Guild Awards

On Saturday(February 24th) the 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards was held at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in LA.

Ayo Edebiri walked away a winner wearing a LUAR FALL 2023 black & white plaid dress. I like how the dress was draped off-the-shoulder on Ayo versus being worn as a hood. Even though I am not a fan of the fabric, she really worn this well.

2023 Film Independent Spirit Awards

Following the Billboard awards, Quinta Brunson and more attended the 2023 Film Independent Spirit Awards which was held on yesterday(March 4th) in Santa Monica, California.

Michelle Yeoh looked gorgeous wearing a one-shoulder, cocktail dress by GUCCI. It's been a while since I have seen a dress from the label that wasn't over-designed. This was elegant and perfect for Michelle. 

Gabrielle Union also wore a look by GUCCI. I like the idea behind her purple sequin & paillettes skirt suit but I feel like the jacket & the skirt aren't working together and the platform sandals are way too heavy. Beauty look was simple but flawless as always.

76th EE BAFTA Awards

Following the nominee party, Angela Bassett, Naomi Ackie, Eddie Redmayne, Michelle Yeoh and more attended the 76th EE British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) at Royal Festival Hall yesterday evening(February 19th). 

Angela Bassett looked beautiful wearing a custom PAMELLA ROLAND gown which was accessorized with BOUCHERON. This lavender hue looked fantastic on her and even though the sleeves are the problem here, Mrs. Bassett is somehow selling it to me.

Jodie Turner-Smith knows how to sell these difficult GUCCI gown and she did just that with this creation. The color looked amazing on her, the jewelry enhanced her look and her beauty look was flawless as always.

Regina King was simply beautiful in a custom pink PRADA silk halter gown, with a ruched side panel, that flowed into a short train. The color looks spectacular on her and while the bodice looks a tad tight, I am still loving her look. JACOB & CO jewelry and a complimentary beauty look rounded out her look. 

Cynthia Erivo wore a CHRIS GELINAS white floor length dress, with playful feathers and a flirty thigh-high split. I would definitely swap out the CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN pumps for sandals but she still was a beauty. KWIAT & FRED LEIGHTON jewelry rounded out her look.

Lucy Liu and Laura Linney wore CHRISTIAN SIRIANO to the 73rd Annual Tony Awards yesterday evening(June 9th) at the 3 West Club in New York.

Lucy Liu made a dramatic entrance wearing a FALL 2019 purple layered tulle gown, with a plunging neckline. I am not a fan of the layered bra panel on the bust and although we have see similar gowns like this before, the color stands out. I just love her in this gown, definitely a best dressed moment for her. Also the green LORRAINE SCHWARTZ and TYLER ELLIS clutch popped against her gown perfectly.

Kerry Washington was perhaps my favorite as she looked divine in this ATELIER VERSACE long sleeve embellished jumpsuit with a cutout back and a skirted waist. She served up a sultry, edgy look effortlessly. Side parted straight tresses, LORRAINE SCHWARTZ & OFIRA jewelry and CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN sandals finished up her look.

Tiffany Haddish wore a MICHAEL KORS COLLECTION silver floral lace embroidered jumpsuit which was accessorized with CHOPARD jewelry and a black clutch. A center part ponytail and a black clutch finished up her great. 

Uzo Aduba stood out in a custom marigold CRISTINA OTTAVIANO draped halter gown with a crisscross, pleated neckline and a side front short split. A flawless beauty look, LORRAINE SCHWARTZ jewelry and JIMMY CHOO sandals finished up her great look.

It's been a while since I have seen Melissa Benoist on the red carpet but she returned this evening(June 10th) for the 2018 Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

She stepped out in a CHRISTIAN DIOR PRE-FALL 2018 pink slip dress with spaghetti straps and a v-neckline. Melissa's slip dress was shown in the look book in similar, printed versions. 

I actually like the solid version and the minimalistic appeal of her overall look. She finished up with a half-up, half-down hairstyle and sparkly hoops. Are you feeling Melissa's look?

Turning to what seems to be one of her favorite designer brands, she wore a BRANDON MAXWELL SPRING 2018 black sleeveless floor length dress with a v-neckline and a center front split. 

Amy's dress was altered from the runway version which featured a plunging neckline and a satin waistband. I feel like Amy's look had potential but the styling is a snooze. A colored lip or statement jewelry could have taken it to the next level. Are you sold on Amy's look?

Earlier today(May 1st) Katharine McPhee was on hand to help announce the 2018 Tony Awards Nominations at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts in New York.

Chrissy Teigen was on hand to support hubby John Legend who was a presenter. She wore a custom PAMELLA ROLAND white strapless & gold embellished dress with a back split. Side swept layered tresses, minimal make-up and gold accessories finished up her look.
