Zendaya & Winnie Harlow in Tommy Hilfiger at the 2019 MET Gala Camp: Notes on Fashion

Zendaya and Winnie Harlow both wore custom TOMMY HILFIGER looks yesterday evening(May 7th) at the 2019 MET Gala Camp: Notes on Fashion at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Zendaya was clearly was a beautiful modern day Cinderella wearing a gown that merged together tehnology and couture. This gown reminded me of Claire Danes in Zac Posen at the 2016 gala, because he dress lit up as well. This is not camp, however this was flawless head to toe and a true Cinderella moment.

Chanel at the 2019 MET Gala Camp: Notes on Fashion

CHANEL dressed several celebs yesterday evening(May 7th) for 2019 MET Gala Camp: Notes on Fashion at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Tessa Thompson dipped into the archives, wearing a dress from the FALL 2016 COUTURE collection. She added a dominatrix vibe to her look by incorporating a wip ponytail in her hair and wearing patent platform boots.

2017 MET Gala Wrap-up

On May 1st, the Rei Kawakubo Comme des Garcons-Art of the In-Between 2017 MET Costume Institute Gala took place at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art in New York.  To see all of the celeb looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up.

Evan Rachel Wood once again teamed up with ALTUZARRA for a great look which featured a  embroidered chiffon dress in midnight blue over black tuxedo pants. An edgy beauty look and a black clutch & pumps finished up her look.

Thandie Newton took on the theme by wearing a red hue dress courtesy of MONSE. Her one long sleeve Swarovski beaded floor length dress featured a ruched split detail. With her hair accented with flowers, she finished up with JENNIFER FISHER jewelry and STUART WEITZMAN sandals.

Salma Hayek wore a BALENCIAGA black waist high split dress and SPRING 2017 boots. Love the boots which we have seen on several occasions but overall, this is just okay for me. Minimal make-up, a ponytail and a metallic clutch finished up her look.

Rihanna in Comme des Garcons at the 2017 MET Gala

She didn't attend last year but Rihanna was back on her fashion high on May 1st at the Kawakubo Comme des Garcons-Art of the In-Between 2017 MET Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art in New York.

Working a avant-grade inspired look from the event's honoree, Riri nailed this COMME DES GARCONS FALL 2016 floral panel dress which was layered like petals with cut-outs.

I think if I saw this on anyone else, the results would be different. From the hair, make-up and thigh-high lace-up sandals, this was a winning look. One of the top best of the night. Do you agree?

The actress went goth-chic wearing a GIAMBATTISTA VALLI FALL 2016 COUTURE strapless two-tone gown which featured a black beaded corset top and a pink layered tulle full skirt with a satin waistband.

Paying homage to designer Rei Kawakubo, she wore a straight, short bob with bangs. A dark lip and manicure topped off her moody look. Are you feeling Lily's MET look?

Claire Danes in Monse at the 2017 MET Gala

Claire Danes rocked a interesting look on the carpet this evening(May 1st) at the Rei Kawakubo Comme des Garcons-Art of the In-Between 2017 MET Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art in New York.

Turning to celeb brand of the moment, she wore a MONSE FALL 2017 head to toe which featured a white long sleeve cotton ruffle & cut-out top with a train detail, black lace-up tuxedo pants and black ankle strap pumps.

Monse is known for interesting designs and for me, this is on tune for the theme of the night. I just don't think Claire has the edgy appeal for this look. Dramatic smokey eyes and a complimentary up-do finished up her look. Claire won the night at the 2016 gala so how does this look fair for you?

Fashionista War: Adriana Lima Vs. Allison Williams in Giambattista Valli Spring 2016 Couture

Today we have a fashion battle between a 'Supermodel' and a 'Singing Actress', so let the fashion war begin.

Adriana Lima attended the 2016 MET Gala on Monday(May 2nd) in NYC. For the occasion, she wore a GIAMABATTISTA VALLI SPRING 2016 COUTURE dress featured a sleeveless black & white sequin top, the designer's skinny signature bow waist sash and a blue & white beaded embroidered tulle layered skirt. She accessorized with a ROGER VIVIER clutch, statement earrings and black sandals. A complimentary up-do and red lip topped off her look.

However Allison Williams wore it first most recently on April 13, 2016 at The Parker Institute For Cancer Immunotherapy Gala in LA. Allison kept her look interesting with a pair of cobalt blue suede PAUL ANDREW pumps. Smokey eyes and a complimentary up-do finished up her look.

So which one of these ladies won the fashion war?

Nicki Minaj served up an overdose of cleavage wearing a custom black MOSCHINO BY JEREMY SCOTT sheer beaded buckle dress. I like Nicki but this has a bad fit.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was a regal beauty wearing a ivory RALPH LAUREN one-shoulder side split asymmetrical evening dress adorned with a metal piece on the shoulder. A side parted slick bun and silver metallic clutch topped off her look.

Balmain Army at the 2016 MET Gala

BALMAIN dressed the loyal celeb army last night for the 2016 MET Gala, Manus X Machina-Fashion in an Age of Technologya at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.

Cindy Crawford is a ageless beauty wearing a custom silver metallic dress with nude illusion panels and cold shoulders. I liked her look and the dress fits her nicely.

Kanye brought his 'Vibes' to the gala rocking blue contacts with his custom denim embellished jacket and distressed, cut-out denim. I don't know about the eyes but his look was interesting but not for the gala.

Kim Kardashian was working her left leg hard in this silver long sleeve dress. Her dress was on the futuristic side and fit her curves. Silver T-strap sandals and pulled back wet inspired locks completed her look.

Kylie Jenner made her first appearance at the gala wearing a custom long sleeve silver embellished sheer illusion pane dress with a fringe hem.

Louis Vuitton Girls at the 2016 MET Gala

Along with Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift, LOUIS VUITTON dressed more celebs at last night's 2016 MET Gala, Manus X Machina-Fashion in an Age of Technology at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.

Alicia Vikander wore a custom FALL 2016 sequin asymmetrical dress with a red leather crop top and a black & white contrasting panels which she paired with red & silver platform boots from the same collection. I actually like the boots but I am not sold on the dress design.

Lea Seydoux who once dazzled us as the queen of Prada/Miu Miu, has become a LV girl. The actress wore a black off-the-shoulder dress with a sequin center front zipper skirt. I actually liked Lea's look, check out a pic of her in more lighting on the LV instagram page HERE. She looked great even though it didn't flow with the theme.

Jennifer Connelly wore a FALL 2016 colorful sequin dress, a box clutch and black platform boots. I didn't like this dress with the sleeves on Nicole Kidman and I don't like it on Jennifer.

Zoe Saldana in Dolce & Gabbana at the 2016 MET Gala

We haven't seen Zoe Saldana much on the carpet this year but the actress returned last night(May 2nd) making the most dramatic entrance. Zoe was on hand for the 2016 MET Gala, Manus X Machina-Fashion in an Age of Technology at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.

She hit the carpet in a DOLCE & GABBANA strapless gown with a black tulle panel corset top and a multicolored feathered train skirt with a black tulle underlining which provided a little volume.

Instead of adding a colored lip, Zoe opted for a espresso smokey eye offset with a natural lip. A sleek braided ponytail and gold drop earrings finished up her look. This is a little different from what we are use to seeing from the designers. What do you think of Zoe's gown?

Brie Larson in Proenza Schouler at the 2016 MET Gala

Making a sparkly entrance, Brie Larson attended the 2016 MET Gala, Manus X Machina-Fashion in an Age of Technology yesterday evening(May 2nd) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.

She hit the carpet in a custom PROENZA SCHOULER SPRING 2016 sequin halter midi dress with cut-away contrasting black tie waist & pipping and a ruffled tiered skirt.

I was all for this look until I saw the shoes. A simple black ankle strap sandal would have been ideal over her ankle strap pumps. A slick side parted bun and a vampy dark red lip topped off her look.

Jessica Chastain, Katy Perry, Elizabeth Debicki, Emma Stone & Mia Wasikowska in Prada at the 2016 MET Gala

Last night(May 2nd) Jessica Chastain, Katy Perry, Elizabeth Debicki, Emma Stone & Mia Wasikowska wore PRADA at the 2016 MET Gala, Manus X Machina-Fashion in an Age of Technology at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.

Jessica Chastain chose a peacock blue and black silk gabardine embroidered halter gown. I can't say that I like the embroidered bib but she looked beautiful and she wore this gown. A side parted straight bob and red lip topped off her look.

Katy Perry made a dramatic, dark entrance wearing a black, midnight blue and emerald green velvet open back short sleeve belted gown with gold enameled collage embroidery. She vamped up her look with a black matte lip and blue kohl rimmed eyes. Accessorized with black leather fingerless opera gloves and gold statement jewelry, she topped off her look with sleek high bun with bangs. Her look comes off a bit costumy to me.

2016 MET Gala Men

The 2016 MET Gala, Manus X Machina-Fashion in an Age of Technology took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC last night(May 2nd). You can check out all of the ladies looks HERE but the men came out as well in their best.

Idris Elba was one of the co-chairs of the event wearing a three-piece TOM FORD classic black tuxedo with a notch lapel fishtail coat which was a adorned with a boutonnière. He paired his tux with a white button down shirt, a white bow tie, a white pocket square and black shiny shoes. I just love Idris and he looks handsome here.

Jared Leto wore a custom GUCCI three-piece white satin peak lapel tailcoat with a white piqué cotton gilet, white evening shirt, a crystal brooch and a hand carved black lacquer cane with silver & crystal embellished cat head detail.

Tom Hiddleston went the classic route as well in a three-piece RALPH LAUREN tuxedo with a fishtail coat. His look was styled with a white button down shirt, a white bow tie, MONTBLANC cufflinks & studs and  JOHNSTON & MURPHY shoes

Naomi Watts & Naomie Harris in Burberry at the 2016 MET Gala

Along with Blake Lively, Naomi Watts and Naomie Harris also wore custom BURBERRY gowns at the 2016 MET Gala, Manus X Machina-Fashion in an Age of Technology at the Metropolitan Museum of Art last night in NYC.

Naomi Watts wore a strapless gown with chain-mail sequins, handmade metallic yarn flowers encrusted with glass beads and a contrasting black waist beaded panel. Beauty wise, she went with a side parted wavy hairstyle adorned with a embellished hair clip and a pink lip offset with metallic eyes. FRED LEIGHTON jewelry and silver sandals finished up her look.

Naomie Harris wore a long sleeve glistening metallic jacquard gown with an hourglass silhouette, train detail and plunging neckline. Accessorized with MESSIKA jewelry, she topped off her look with a silver box clutch, LOUBOUTIN heels and side parted light waves.

Nina Dobrev in Marchesa at the 2016 MET Gala

Following her attendance at the WHCD, Nina Dobrev attended the 2016 MET Gala, Manus X Machina-Fashion in an Age of Technology yesterday evening(April 2nd) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.

Showing a little cleavage, she hit the carpet in a MARCHESA SPRING 2016 gold jewel and mirrored embellished sheer illusion tulle layered gown with a cut-way detail in the back. The embroidered detail touches on the technical theme for the gala.

To ensure she is not washed out, a metallic smokey eye offset with a pink lip was added to her beauty look. She looks great but the look doesn't excite. CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA sandals, a small clutch and a center part chignon adorned with an embellished hairclip topped off her look.

Rita Ora in Vera Wang at the 2016 MET Gala

It will definitely be unlike Rita Ora to attend a red carpet event like this without showing some skin. She attended the 2016 MET Gala, anus X Machina-Fashion in an Age of Technology last night(May 2nd) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.

For the occasion, she wore a custom VERA WANG platinum trumpet silhouette halter gown with intricately hand-placed sculptural metallic feathers with contouring sheer illusion cutaway accents and crisscross strap in the back.

On the beauty end, she went with a slick pulled back bun to compliment her look and metallic eyes. I know a lot of people are tired of the sheer trend but this feathery piece is right up Rita's alley. Diamond studs topped off her look.

Nicole Kidman in Alexander McQueen at the 2016 MET Gala

Nicole Kidman attended the 2016 MET Gala, Manus X Machina-Fashion in an Age of Technology at the Metropolitan Museum of Art yesterday evening(May 2nd) in NYC.

She hit the carpet in a ALEXANDER MCQUEEN FALL 2016 sheer black and silver moon embellished dress with a matching a cape, v-neckline and cut-out sides. Nicole's dress was unlined on the runway but Nicole lined her dress for the occasion.

I actually really like this dress but what has me on the fence is the neckline. It is narrower on the model but wide on Nicole. I definitely prefer the shape of the neckline on the model. A braided up-do and smokey eyes completed her look. Does Nicole's neckline work for you?

Michelle Monaghan in Rosie Assoulin at the 2016 MET Gala

Michelle Monaghan made her way to the carpet yesterday evening(May 2nd) at the 2016 MET Gala, Manus X Machina-Fashion in an Age of Technology at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.

For the occasion, she wore a custom ROSIE ASSOULIN FALL 2016 black dress which featured a hand embroidered tow-tone cut-out top made out of machine made recycled aluminum cans and a vegan pleather & ruffle zip-off tiered skirt.

Michelle is wearing altered look from the look book version which I like. I like the idea of Michelle's dress because it's details works with the gala's theme. However I would have loved to see her with a colored lip to elevate the look. An EDIE PARKER clutch, BRIAN ATWOOD heels and ROXANNE ASSOULIN earrings topped off her look. Did Michelle win you over with this look?

Jennifer Hudson & Ciara in H&M at the 2016 MET Gala

Along with Hailee Steinfeld, Jennifer Hudson & Ciara also wore H&M at the 2016 MET Gala, Manus X Machina-Fashion in an Age of Technology at the Metropolitan Museum of Art yesterday evening(May 2nd) in NYC.

Jennifer Hudson wore a white strapless v-neck gown which featured an embroidered bodice and a 4-foot tulle layered train. Beauty wise, she went with a short pulled back hairstyle and a purple lip color offset with a smokey cat-eye. Statement jewelry and a box clutch topped off her look.

Ciara surprisingly didn't show a lot of skin. Her heavily embellished halter dress featured flesh tone underlining. To stay on tune with the theme, she went with a silver hair color adorned with matching bobby pins. A smokey eye and a natural lip topped off her look.

Who's H&M look won you over?
